Shave and a haircut.. LOL Leland.. I LOVE old theaters like this! There used to be one when I was a child back in the early 70s (I am now 63), an old movie theater in Pasadena, Texas, of all places called the Capitan Theater and up in the balcony there was a room that was glass on three sides. It had a door and regular theater seats but it was called the "crying room" for people with unruly infants. None of the other theaters of the day had that feature and I always thought it was so cool. I am sure it is long gone now but for anyone who grew up in the area it was located on highway 225 going into Pasadena and it seems like Pasadena High School was just on the opposite side of the freeway. Anyway, I love the old architecture and appreciate the tours! Hope the tour is going well for you guys. Again.. thanks Leland!

Fully renovated and restored, the historic Carpenter Theatre is the cornerstone of the Dominion Energy Center. It features state-of-the-art lighting and world-class acoustics while still preserving its Old World feel. Its large stage, great acoustics, and 20 dressing rooms make it a performer’s dream venue. Carpenter Theatre’s main lobby includes two refreshment bars, concierge station, and a gift shop, with two additional refreshment bars upstairs. Four large mosaic tile murals of parrots serve as the backdrop to the four refreshment bars and are a tribute to the handmade parrot that has been perched in the lobby since the theater first opened in 1928. Upon entering the refurbished Carpenter Theatre - with nearly 1,800 seats - audiences enjoy newly installed fiber optic stars twinkling overhead in the repainted midnight sky ceiling, one of the many preserved and enhanced elements of John Eberson's original theater design.

I've said it before and will say it every time (although,I might not post it): "Leland,From the Road" is my favorite style of video on here. As a former "road dog", I have played the theaters and cubs, as well as far too many dumps to count. I never got to wander the venues. It was always van-backstage-stage-van.I truly enjoy seeing the excess little bits of these places and hearing the stories

Good evening, Lee! 😃 We had some wild westher this morning on Cape Cod and over the bridges here. Two tornadoes confirmed. 🌪 And, in all my 47 years, I've never seen so much rain. We got 4 inches of rain in an hour! 🌧 But, we're all good. 👍 I love Richmond, VA. That's one of my stops on my drive to Florida. So nice to see everyone happy. Lamont skipping, and Mark, (it was so nice chatting with him in Plymouth. He's one hell of a cool guy). 😎 Nice looking venue! Have a great show! 😎🎸🎶🎷 ❤ya! PS- Lyle looks SO happy. I love it! 😁🎸 We are SO lucky to have you in our lives, Lee!

How did Domino handle the disturbance? Weather and climate will not have any exempt areas that are walled off from plant Earth’s holistic meteorological conditions. A friend in Montclair, New Jersey had bad weather with downed utilities and all power cut for over 6 hours and our planed communications were cut for all that time.

Love the interviews with the support team. Shout out to all the Canadian hippies from the 70's, ✌♥ always. So funny listening to the music scale rising as you ascend the stairs to the nosebleeds seats.😄The carpet is giving me flashbacks. Then you had to do the camera roll at the end, just when my flashback from the carpet was subsiding. Great video lots of fun, glad you did not get stuck on the roof.

The sense of euphoria must be overwhelming ? It would be great to hear about pre concert nerves and everything else associated with a process ending in a musical show on stage . I'd love to see the bus journey right after the show and all the patter from the musicians and staff post show.... I can't wait for that little gem of a video from you . Stay well .

Thank you for another exploration of a venue, but Leland’s ability to explore and document locations would be an asset to film makers needing locations for filming that would be unique and novel. Alone in this one performing venue we have seen possible scenes for any number of dramatic back drops. For one, the roof area with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems with their Variable-air-volume (VAV) systems in a packaged rooftop unit with chiller, cooling tower, and boiler systems and water-source heat pump systems with a cooling tower and boiler would be quite a back drop for most any dramatic and tension scene.

Britt, Mark, and Matt! :) Cool about Blackbird school! I gotta make a note to check Mark Brooks page, for those doings! I don't know what happened, but it's like I have been just knocked out for a few days. I remember catching the beginnings of this video a few times and things happened, where everything kept needing to be plugged back in, and I had to let people into my place a few times, and talk over various boxes of my own files which are wearing me out. Not a person that just loves clerical work in general. It takes so much more of my attention than it ever should for anyone. Anyway, I guess my body and brain decided to put me to bed, for several days in the 116 degree weather. Probably for the best. Was heartbreaking to wake up to the awareness of the Maui fires. Couldn't stay up for long trying to check on people and and realizing all their communications were pretty much down even before the fires swept through so horrifically.. Been getting multiple fire alerts here, making me think we have one happening nearby like last year, but am not finding any location pinpoints about them. It's just been several days of all the heat making any little spark something to avoid at all costs. Meanwhile I check the warnings thinking they are like tornado warnings but it seems like maybe they are making warnings like it's on the ground because of the fearsome situation that is in Maui. So of course Maui updates are also in the same weather news area. Just very very sad. Just wanted to say something before I continue to hear the rest of the Richmond video and begin to catch up, with the sweet stuff.
