REAL STUDER TAPE SHOOTOUT || MIX:ANALOG vs Acustica Taupe vs Softube Tape vs UAD Studer vs Slate VTM
A real studer A812 tape machine (A 1/4" stereo master tape recorder from the end of 80s/start of 90s. It superseded the legendary A80 model and surpassed it many aspects both soundwise and in terms of tape transport mechanics and control)
AND a tape plugin shootout with acustica audio plugins, softube (setting B), universal audio studer A800 Multichannel Tape and slate digital Virtual Tape Machines.
The tape machine has been printed via mix analog which is streaming analog hardware online. I was going to include IK multimedia tape plugins but unfortunately there was an issue with the plugin demo.
For beginner producers or audio engineers I hope that this allows you to hear the differences in recording to tape and also how the plugin comparisons are used to emulate the sound of a real tape machine.
