The Louis Vuitton suitcase is a bad investment, why ...... see below. 1. It’s a suitcase the purpose is meant to be functional and not so much fashionable. 2. People who work at the airport are not going to handle your suitcase any differently because it’s Louis Vuitton, the main focus is to make sure that your baggage is on the correct flight and this process is carried out as quickly as possible. 3. The likelihood of your suitcase being scratched is 1000% so please don’t cry if you notice a plethora of scratch marks. 4.You can find a equally durable and functional suitcases for a fraction of the price online or on Amazon. Please don’t waste your money. - if you don’t agree with anything I said and you have the extra cash,..... happy shopping I guess 🤷🏾‍♀️ 😊 lol

The secret is you can wear designer/ high-end brands but avoid the trendy pieces. Givenchy, Burberry, Tom Ford, some Balmain, Thom Browne etc.. they some great brands to consider, even some Gucci or Louis but the trendy/ seasonal game is a never ending game & unless you have crazy cash flow it doesn’t make sense to partake in that game. After a season or two if you purchase trendy pieces, you almost can’t wear it anymore without looking desperate to look like you have money.

I like this type of video from alux about luxury fashion. It would be nice if you could make a video about tier luxury brands , the high end brands,premium brands,accessible brands and so one. I feel like these days every average joe can afford tommy hilfiger , armani, hugo boss, make me feel like brands like this are no more high end luxury brands. If I could get a dollar every time I saw on the street an average joe wearing a t-shirt from tommy hilfiger, armani ,hugo boss or other brands that became cheap I would be rich lol .Even louie vuitton and gucci became accessible luxury since almost every youtuber can afford these days . Anyway ,great video ALUX ,love the editing.

@MoreOfVico
@MoreOfVico 4 жыл бұрын
Now that’s harsh! I do love fur, leather and exotic leather. But I don’t think animal skin is the future. Like a lot of luxbrands are fur and exotic free. Tesla cars have vegan leather in most of there cars. So it’s not weird if you don’t want to buy animal skin, there are some nice alternative to real fur and leather if you still would like to have the look but don’t want it to be animal. Need to look out for nice quality and how it’s made because it’s like many things not made very nice to the workers or the environment.

The Cartier love bracelet unfortunately is SUCH a Instagram fad now and will definitely age terribly. They scratch up like crazy and look terrible after a couple years, plus not being able to take them off, and their faulty screwing mechanism makes them such a constant pain. Their original purpose was for your husband or lover to actually lock you into it (Elizabeth Taylor popularized it with Richard Burton) but somehow instagram influencers got their hands on it and it lost all of its "love" meaning and now everyone wears it and its become a fad unfortunately.

Highly disagree with Louis Vuitton luggage because you ended up being a free walking advertisement, screaming to other people that you are rich, and have higher chances of it getting stolen. My advice is to find discreet-looking luggage such as Rimowa. For Jeans, it's better to buy white or dark-colored jeans to look classy but it's better to avoid them. I don't recommend Christian Louboutin Shoes because it doesn't last long. The red color at the bottom of the shoes scuffs easily and makes you look cheap. If you want it as a statement piece then sure but not recommended to wear it on daily basis.

as far as made-to-measure suiting goes, you can. buy decent priced separates of pretty good material in sizes that are at least 2x what you are and bring them to a decent tailor. You'll end up with good quality slacks, dinner/suit jackets/blazers that fit you perfectly, and button down shirts/vests that look and fit amazingly on your person as well. You can get this done for a total of a couple hundred dollars depending on variants, but it works. I did it on a pair of old navy denim (its a style they stopped selling about 7 years or so ago) and every time I put them on, its beautiful.

Business traveler here: do not buy Vuitton luggage. It’s a piece of crap that will fall apart. Buy Briggs-Riley, Tumi, or Samsonite. Luxury luggage is great if you’re a once a year traveler, but if you travel more than 2-3 times a year Briggs-Riley is far better. Additionally, if you’re a business traveler Briggs-Riley makes a statement far more than Vuitton since it’s actually more expensive and far better made. Additionally, it comes with a lifetime warranty meaning if it breaks or gets scuffed up, you can get it fixed easily

Alux has no issue reprimanding the poor for making bad financial choices associated with trying to "look rich." If you want to buy quality there is no argument with spending more to get it, but this list is not that (at least for the men's items): 1. Luxury brand watch collectors will tell you it's an expensive hobby that may be personally fulfilling but a true waste of money. 2. Tom Ford MTM is absolutely not worth $4,500 when you can buy a true bespoke suit for less or buy 2 maybe 3 MTM suits from Saville Row Tailor shops. 3. LV luggage---really? 4. Burberry trench is better if you buy vintage.

Why would you get made to measure suit for 4500 even from a luxary brand when your at the price range where you can get a suit entirely bespoke for the same price range. I mean made to measure is better than off the rack but bespoke is the next step up I mean I would rather have suit entirely built for my body alone than one were only some parts are made custom to me.

My only issue is with LV luggage, I mean seriously talk about walking theft alert. You dont want to be carrying that around, especially in some countries, and I am not talking about some rando country, even some airports in western Europe are sketchy. Secondly, you definitely don't want to be that person whos luggage "goes missing" at the airport, thousands of dollars mistake.

No 06. When it comes to jeans there's only one classic and it's still "Levis" after all, Quality never goes out of style

Expensive doesnt mean luxury. Jeans are not a luxury piece. And the LV luggage fits in the list. Thats the luggage to use if you have your own airplane or at least you fly in private jets. Not for airliners.

The moral of the story: go for quality stuff not necessarily “expensive” stuff. I can get a well tailored suit in one of my South East Asia trip. I just need to select the finest material.

Edward Green... 😣 Really??? Tiffaney??? Overpriced, poor quality tat... Louis Vuitton🤔 When I must travel commercial ( which I try to avoid) I use simple, cheap, but secure luggage and fill it with my Louis... Everything else... 👍🏼😎

i like this video, this gives me the idea of less clothes with these purchases, and this can work well when quality stuff last for years on end saving you tons of money down the road, cartier watches is also a good investment as well but dam Patek Philippe is more of a statement and an investment that will hold value over time. beautiful watch.

This video is kind of misleading,ofcourse buying non versatile trendy peices like t shirts training shoes from crazy expensive brands is worst than buying long term peices mentioned in the video but the fact that same stuff with a little bit lower quality are available at 2 times lower prices in zara,h&m and other small brands products like bags,trench coat and if you find a good local tailor and choose the cloth wisely there's no need to spend thousands of dollars and you can still look the best in the room.Trust me this isn't impossible just do your research in amazon,KZfaq etc. Cause there are a lot of start ups and small brands that make premium looking watches, accessories for much lower prices.

Tiffany is a nice brand but if I have the money to spend on a diamond ring I prefer Graff or Harry Winston or a diamond with D color ( E and F will do) and F clarity ( VVS will do) from a local jeweler

You can also try making things. Though some of the nicer stuff that is tricky to make is worth the splurge. I don't have a gabardine factory or know a cobber on speed dial after all.. but softer simpler things like tee shirts and knit hats, you can do yourself.

It should be said this video should not be for those saving up for their future! You did say brands should not be what one goes for Quality ok, durability, I agree, there are sub brands to what you show here which work just as well and longer. Philip Patek? No no. Let's think of other great watches less expensive. I'm in Switzerland and can help advise. Also NO jeans- no matter price, brand, quality or look- is classy! Its associated with poverty. Just saying

Side tips but vintage Burberry there quality was better 20 years ago and you will spend less. Second Louis Vuitton luggage is not great and most of it is not actually leather its canvas coated leather, if you want luggage that will last get Briggs and Riley they are extremely durable and have a lifetime warranty.
