tbh the argument isn't that the little mermaid is black it's that your changing an original piece, created and written by somebody by the way, and completely mutilating it so people won't remember the original art piece. If you want black characters, make NEW movies. Don't remake old ones.

@@rockoyhead - In the original story Hans Christian Anderson never specified her skin colour. The only reference to her skin was that it was clear... meaning she didn't have pimples.

Don’t care about cartoons, but they care if the voice actor’s race matches the cartoon character. They care about “representation”. I know it’s a joke, but at least understand the other side’s point, that’s a bastardization. although a lot of people don’t make that easy I’m sure, and it has nothing to do with racism.
