I did the same thing. God allow her to divorce me, as I refused to divorce her. I now realize that she was a nominal Christian and narcissistic. After 10 years of marriage, she told me that she didn’t believe many aspects of the Bible that she once did. She actually told me that she thought Jesus was a political figure like Martin Luther King. You’re not alone. I ignored at least 8 of the 15 red flags. God bless you.

Same. The only difference is, I was hoping that he changed for the best version of him or the version God intends for him to be. He would tell me that he had changed but since I decided to detach myself from him mentally & emotionally I stop expecting, and never allowed myself to trust him again. I couldn't find it within myself because he showed me a side of him that was disturbing when we were dating, lies on top of lies and cheating. Today we are friends and he will go out of his way for me, unfortunately, I still do not trust him but I have forgiven him. I ask God to let his will be done, if it's meant to be then it will happen if not I am more than open to whomever God has for me because I know whomever he is will be God's best. I'm 50, I pray that God will give us our desires in his timing 🙏.

Also FYI I would suggest people research the word Fornication to see what it really means (most would say it's sex with a person you're not married to or other than the one you're married to=Adultery)but what exactly is Marriage 🤔 tbh it's the joining of two becoming 1 in bonding . So perhaps in God's eyes they were married just didn't have a wedding. But God knows.

Its been a challenge, most men even in church want sex before marriage. They love God according to their rules. I've chosen to wait on God to give me a man who will honor the value of "no sex before marriage". It's a very vivid sign of someone who has died to self.

Traciwilson your wife may have undiagnosed emotional or psychological problems. You need to get into therapy, even if your wife won’t. Your wife has traits associated with narcissistic, sociopathic, manipulative behaviors. There also may be some manic and depressive issues.

Please pray for your wife when you are gone for extended periods. My husb has been building a business for over 30 yrs. He works long hours - I have tried to support him while raising and home educating our children. He turned to addictive substances to deal with his stress and it nearly destroyed our very fragile marriage. It took 10 long years of seeking the Lord and allowing Him to humble us and allow Him to bind our relationship together. It IS painful! But worth it to stay the course! God can still give you the wonderful relationship you desire! Pray for your wife and children. Love your wife. Love your children - yet - discipline them with godly firmness and scriptural grace when you are home. And trust God to bring abt a blessing in this difficult marriage! I personally know friends & have heard some testimonies of how people decided to just pray & trust God instead of putting oneself out there like the world does it.. & their respective spouses were brought to them by God in His own time & they instantly knew that that was the person God willed for them & now they’re happily married. 😊

I kind of see what you mean there. The more things you keep looking for can make you want to instantly cut someone if even a few are noticed off but some flags mentioned are beneficial ones to avoid but each person is different in what they can or cannot compromise with in relationships.

As long as your hope is in Jesus, you will ALWAYS have hope! I too was addicted to porn and masturbation. I learned to masturbate by watching porn at a young age and it followed me into my adulthood. When we expose ourselves to that type of evil we invite it in. I too would have dreams but my dreams were overtly sexual and I didn’t understand what was really happening. I didn’t understand that I had opened the door to this demonic activity through porn. Because it had become a habit, a stronghold, I had to pray that GOD would deliver me and then do my part in the deliverance process. First I had to repent and ask the Holy Spirit to help me. I renounced the demonic activity that I had invited into my life.Then I had to stop watching porn along with cutting out the masturbation. I had to guard my eyes from tv shows that were riddled with sexual content because that would be a trigger for me. (Recognize your triggers) And if I ever started to feel like I wanted to do something that I shouldn’t I had to remove myself from that state of mind. Many nights I would play my audio Bible as I slept or listen to a sermon. Sometimes I would read my Bible before bed and meditate on what I just read and definitely prayed that GOD would guard my heart and mind as I slept. Even though I prayed to GOD about this situation it was still up to me to apply The Word to my life and kill my flesh. Taking back the authority that I have over my body. Just like I practiced watching porn and masturbating, I had to practice applying GOD’s Word to my life and transform my mind on how I thought about porn and it’s affects on me. When you start to understand and see what porn and masturbating does to you mentally, physically and spiritually if should convict you and give you a desire to want to make a change. Sir, you still have hope and I pray that GOD will place someone in your life that you can be transparent with who can help you walk in deliverance on this journey. That was also something I had, people I could be transparent with who prayed for me and spoke life to me. You don’t have to be tainted any longer by impure thoughts so think about what you want to do, take it to GOD in prayer and make the necessary steps to walk in deliverance. It will be challenging but there is nothing impossible with GOD.

I can relate......I'm 43...not a virgin however been searching for the one. A lady does my braids..she recently told me a few things need to happen...pay tithes be obedient to spirit stop obsessing over it get into the Bible. Bottomline tune into Christ ....as Paul said...marriage isn't "built-in" for everyone. Be happy being single...it's then she'll come FROM HIM!

Won’t lie, you (probably) kinda answered the question yourself when you brought up the porn and masturbation. While those gotta go in general, maybe God doesn’t want you in a relationship while also in bondage. Maybe He wants your mind renewed and self control developed before any relationship, and yeah sure many addicted brothers are in relationships but as Jesus said to Peter, “what’s that to you?” He may want you in a relationship that isn’t tarnished with secret sin. I’m saying from experience, very little experience but I think enough to speak on it, that it wasn’t until I took sexual sin more serious and went from “it’s a struggle” to “it’s gotta die” and been going to God bout it that I’ve started slowly seeing some changes and shifts in my life, mentally, providentially, ESPECIALLY spiritually. Start taking that sin more seriously, hate and even pray against the dreams, seek God more and FAST (I can’t explain the help that’s done in both self control and fighting back). Cause it really does sound like it’s you’re biggest hindrance (same here) and sometimes God wont let you move forward carrying something you’re supposed to leave behind. We’ll ruin ourselves and what’s in store if we do and so He just let’s us sit stagnant as discipline until, like the prodigal, we come to our senses, leave it behind, and seek Him out again

It will suck. But God will heal you. About a month and a half ago I was in an unequally yoked relationship. She was pretty, but she led me to sin. I was very attached to her. I prayed and eventually God gave me the strength to leave her, and the decision gave me peace. I was broken, but God used the pain to draw me near Choose Christ, not her. God will honor your decision and replace her with His love. And eventually you'll find the Godly woman who you can love freely
