This just reminded me of someone, we were together for like 3 years and whenever situation used to get tough he used to run off from that or break up and then I used had to make understand that we can get past it ir make this relationship work (No, I never cheated on him, it was just basic fights). Hi Prachi didi...! When I was 5 months baby, my parents does not use to take care of me much. So, my grandparents (mom's parents) took me away with them and from that time onwards they have only taken care of my education,clothes and everything. They love me very much and gives me whatever I like all the time but very strict at relationships and love. I am 23 and I love a guy who is my classmate (age 23). We both are doing software jobs in different MNC's. I know him since 5 years. We belong to the caste OC only but not the same category. At first, we were best friends. One day he proposed me. I also love him but said 'no' because of my grandparents. They used to say that they will kill themselves or me if I would love any guy of any other caste or even of the same caste. They are very particular about caste and money and even they don't like boy friend and girl friend relationships at all. They usuaally abuse people who are in the relationships. One of cousin sisters' also have a boyfriend. Her relationship matter got leaked somehow to her parents and my grandparents. A big war happened. I’m confused now he did so much for me, never talks to women, convinced his parents, working so hard so he can provide me a great life in future, we are in long distance relationship now from 4 months. Okay I really want a genuine and honest opinion. I am in a distance relationship with a guy for 3 years now.We hardly get to meet each other since we are in different states. Pandemic has made it even worse. Videos calls are the maximum we can have. So he has female friends,hangs out with them without letting me know. I came to know this confronted him. He says since we are away he didn't want to bring up such topics and wanted to let me know when we meet. Those friends of him know about me( I have seen them commenting on our pictures, wishing me on birthday etc.) He apologised but I was adamant that I won't tolerate this thing that you can hide things from me. He promised me that he wouldn't repeat this and has also promised that he would cut off people whom I don't get a good vibe from.(one of those friends). I have seen him unfollow/unfriend them as well. The only thing I am sure of is that he loves me,he even switched his job due to our compatibility issues(but again WFH made us part). Is my concern genuine ? Does he deserve a fair chance now? Am I entitled to know about his friends and his hanging out with them ? Or am I being too interfering ? Pls let me know since this is bothering me a lot. How much should two people in a relationship share ? Am I asking for too much ?
