Another tip many may not know, when you use nvg's in the dark and all of a sudden it lights up like you walked under a street light you better run! The light you see around you is a 15 second warning that a gas strike is about to hit and whether done on purpose or accidentally it will save your life! When you remove your night vision you cant see the light so only nvg's can see if

Yeah whenever theres gonna be a gas mortar strike a red flare floats down from the sky at the center of impact

The skybox is my favourite new addition, I didnt even realise how much DayZ needed it until it was there.

Have always loved those stone ovens. However a few updates prior to 1.23 they downgraded the durability of sledge hammers & pickaxes. From Pristine to Ruined you will need at least 2 tools to build a flagpole. The oven uses half that many large stones so 1 oven = 1 tool

The castle floors are bullet proof for lore reasons. The timber was recycled from a limestone mine, where it had become petrified over the ages.

So does the m4 and akm still spawn in toxic zones or did they move to helicrashes/convoys? Cause at the moment those 2 crashes are pointless to go to unless your chasing DMR/sval/vss which only 1 is really any good. Kinda make those dynamoc events not worth goinv to

Yeah, the LARs are not in contaminated zones like they mentioned in the patch notes.

Yeah. You wont spawn right next to each other, but you will be within a much closer distance.

you obviously haven't played for long, they spawned everyone in the same place before and it just becomes a coastal death match. Sumrak is leading this game in the wrong direction.

This is completely new, nothing like the old system from way back, so he's right. Back in the day they didn't have group spawning, they just had shitty locations to spawn and not enough points on the map. That's why it was a death match, this is entirely different, covers a much wider area.
