Most chocolate hard candies miss the mouth feel of chocolate, so they can taste waxy. We've solved this by working in Cocoa powder. It's harder, but worth it.

@@LoftyPursuits I would love to know the juxtaposition of tastes those possibilities would have! Since introducing air into the candy can give it a different mouth feel and change the flavour somewhat I wonder how these candies would taste different if different parts of the candy were stretched. The orange being stretched would mean the flavour profile would probably switch, you would taste the orange and the citric acid first since it would dissolve quicker because of the air introduced and then you would get the chocolate. I wonder how that differs from them both being stretched, or like this batch, both not being stretched at all... I’m sure the difference wouldn’t be too stark or anything but I like noticing subtle differences lol ^^; and there are probably a lot of peeps out there who do as well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have you ever tried "blooming" the cocoa powder? When you heat up cocoa powder in water it really intensifies the flavor and you could add the cocoa water, and have the water boil out just like it does for the flavoring. It will be especially easy because the water is already hot.

The best way to raise subs and views is to upload consistently. Once a week would boost it. When you don't have a new candy to make, could show other parts of the process, more candy stories. And while I'm spiballing, ever consider selling to other local retailers/restaurants? Like what if a specific restaurant got an exclusive signature candy they could give to customers after meals? Put them at the table in a little dish with the Lofty Pursuits logo.
