LaFontaine Performance Center in Highland, Michigan recently built a modern version of the early 90's 454SS truck called the GT454 that looks neat.

Jesus, that thing must have a 300 gallon fuel cell... Cars like this usually only get about 9 inches to the gallon. So technically this guy just drive around the world... But dammit, aren't toys like this fun? I think we just found our answer to why gas is so expensive. This monster demands a shite-load just to get from the garage to the end of the driveway. But dammit aren't they fun?? Certainly wouldn't be my first choice as far as the paint job goes. But it is what it is. Still a beast at the end of the day. Frankin-Vette. Gotta Love it!!!

Not just the cam, the blower can cause this too. I think it's called blower surge, not sure though. Has to do with the cam and blower not liking each other at idle speeds IIRC.

Well, if the 'Vette really is making that kind of power, and he can get tires that can hook, then he should be in the low to mid eights in the quarter... and even an STI is going to need more mods than that to hit those times... a lot more.
