1500HP Bugatti Divo pushing on a Swiss Mountain Pass: 8.0L Quad-Turbo W16 Engine Sound!

This video is fully focused on the flashy Bugatti Divo which took part in the 2022 Bernina Gran Turismo, an event born in 2014 with the aim of keep the memory of the legendary Bernina hillclimb race of 1929 and 1930 alive. It's held on the beautiful Bernina Pass in Switzerland, on a section of the original route specifically closed to traffic, with the hilclimb course starting from La Rösa (1,871 m above sea level) and ending up on the actual Bernina Pass (2,328 m) after a total of 5.9 km.
The Divo is a track-focused model unveiled by Bugatti Automobiles in 2018 and named after French racing driver Albert Divo, who raced for Bugatti in the 1920s winning the Targa Florio twice. The car is mainly based on the Bugatti Chiron but new aero devices, a stiffer setup and a mild slimming treatment make the Divo more suitable for track-use compared to the Chiron.
It's powered by a 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine able to produce around 1500 hp at 6,700 rpm and 1,600 Nm of constant torque from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. The W16 is linked to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Watch it in action on the Swiss hillclim course for some demo and non-competitive runs!

My first experience on the Autobahn was in a 4-series rental car. I thought I was living it up on my way to Heidelberg. I then got passed by a French blue Chiron. Nothing prepares you for that, no matter all you’ve seen on KZfaq. Sounded like an actual locomotive.

V12 A very different engine, not to compare or compete with. Apart from that the grace of the W16 is the unique sound it generates even if it is not extravagant.

@@apancher exactly, it hardly reaches 4000 rpm and everyone can see that the speed isnt more than 35 mph-65 km/h or so. Yes, it doesnt have the downforce pure hillclimb cars have, but lets not forget that there are civics, peugeot rallyes and old asconas passing through corners with 3-digits speeds and no, they arent pure hillclimb cars either

@@tanthaman what i commented is that the verb "push" doesnt match the pace the car goes. Title should be "bugatti driver tries to hillclimb in a divo", not the one that he used. And yes I would push a 4 million car, for several reasons. First, even if something went wrong, i would have the cash to repair it and even buy a new one if the damage could not be repaired. Second, i am not a monte carlo exhibitionist crusing on 5 mph, so gold diggers can catch my face and license plate

It seems to me that he can't take the risk of exaggerating in the corners so as not to crash a car with the price that this Bugatti has but on the small straights he accelerates hard.
