If you have the motivation to stay consistent, learn something new every day and practice speaking, it's impossible not to speak Russian after a while :)

Speaking only russian with subtitles is a great ideea. Although I have to pause after every sentence you say to read it haha

this is great man! hopefully I'll be as good as you are one day. I started learning russian like 5 months ago n I'd like to think I'm doing alright for 5 months! and I love your video right here, it's not too short n not too long! n specially cuz it's got bilingual subtitles, for some reason I just seem to learn faster this way you know! this way the words that I don't know yet, are just right there! and I don't have to get out the video just to go find out what they mean, n believe it or not that takes time n can be pretty annoying! so thanks o lot for taking the time n doing that for us! n if you could even make some more like this, you know, about any subject really! it would be totally appreciated!

I have watched the first two seasons of the comedic family series "Сваты" . It is light hearted and a great way to gain some insight into the culture. The episodes are available on KZfaq as well. Btw great info, and inspiring as well. Subscribed.

The only series I watch from your list is как я стал русским. I like it very much. The other series I am watching is пёс. I have seen пять минут тишины. It takes time but definitely you begin to notice some improvement. I also listen to music in Russian. I am doing it slowly since I had a stroke, thus living on social services. I don't care if it's going to take me a lifetime to learn it but I will get there!

Я люблю еще сериал Мосгаз : дело майора черкасова. Каждый сезон-детективное дело, происходящее в Ссср. Ну и теле шоу Следствие вели с Леонидом Каневским, про реальных маньяков советского союза

Yes, Мосгаз is absolutely fabulous. There are several movies in Мосгаз series: Мосгаз, Палач, Паук (Гознак), Шакал, Операция "Сатана", Формула мести, Катран, Мосгаз. Дело №8. Западня, Последнее дело майора Черкасова. Дело №9. All of them are edge-of-your-seat thrillers.

Ещё чуточку над окончаниями поработать и можешь приезжать к нам на заработки ;) советую тебе офигенный старый сериал: Семнадцать мгновений весны., поможет выучить не только Русский но и понять этих самых Русских, удачи тебе. Как Вариант ещё фильм Брат и Брат-2

My brother speaks Russian I don’t know what he says to me in Russian but I speak German fluently and he doesn’t know what I’m saying just so you know when I was 5 or 6 I started speaking German, my friends are impressed how I speak German to them they want me to teach them and I did for 2 years and they got fluent at German that’s how I did it

Other great comedies are Полярный and Год культуры. For an intriguing mystery that is based on real events and has not been solved for over 60 years watch Перевал Дятлова. If you want to get a feel for one of the best suspense serials, watch Невский (6 seasons).

Когда я думаю о русских сериалах, мне сразу в голову приходит советская классика "Приключения Шерлока Холмса и доктора Ватсона". Несмотря на все западные экранизации, его всё равно по-прежнему стоит смотреть. А ещё советские актёры говорили на очень красивом русском языке. Такого сейчас уже не услышишь.

Try Перевал Дятлова. It gives a version of events that took place over 60 years ago. The mystery behind the deaths of all 9 students who took part in the cross-country skiing trip in the Urals in 1959 has not been resolved.

Добрый день. Шестой сериал "Вампиры средней полосы". Средняя полоса России или просто средняя полоса-это географический термин, определяющий центрально-европейскую часть России. Поэтому перевод "вампиры среднего класса" является ошибочным. Хороший сериал "Звоните ДиКаприо". Очень рекомендую документальный сериал "Российская империя. Проект Леонида Парфёнова". Ари, Ваш русский восхищает!

Anyone knows, where I can find the show Trotsky in russian with decent english or german subs? It's not an netflix anymore.

I just searched and unfortunately only found the first episode on KZfaq with English subs: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMV9fMSIrJ2al4E.html. Weird that they removed it from Netflix. Maybe it's still available for other countries? I'm not sure how that works but maybe with a VPN or something?
