Here in SW FL, I'm fortunate enough to have several orange groves with miles of canals near me. I've caught back to back 9 lber's. Personally, I like the 6-8 lb fish, they fight better and longer

Haha. Hearing shotgun rounds/rifle rounds while you're on the lake fishing becomes normal after a while. I'm in Toronto Ontario Canada and while were out fishing musky in the kawarthas sometimes we hear birdshot from a hundred yards away from the boat.

For the life of me, I just don’t understand why so many right handed people use right hand retrieve. Cast with right, switch rod to left so you can reel, then switch back to right to cast again. And all the control of the rod is in your non-dominate hand. I just don’t get it. Someone made this point to me some years back. In the beginning it was a little weird to get used to, but I can’t ever imagine going back now. No switching hands and I keep the rod and all the control in my dominate hand. It’s not like it’s difficult to just turn the reel with your left hand. It makes no sense to me to put all the control in my left hand and do all that switching back and forth. Great channel by the way. Found it today, and watched it straight for about and hour+

Back in the 80s I fished a fair amount. When I changed from a right hand retrieve baitcast reel to a left hand retrieve I loved it. Cast and feather the spool with my usual right,then no switching to retrieve. It was a little awkward for a very short time then just felt good. Happy belated B-Day!

Bamabass, when you trool with you A rig do you hold it in your hand and pull up on it everyone in a while? Just asking because I kayak fish and its easier for me to just put my rod in my scotty. I do have a trolling motor so I can hold my rod. Just started using an A rig. So i'm learning. Been wanting to try goldfish, but it's against the law in SC, so I need to try it on a private pond I guess. Thanks for any help. Love your channel.

You can use a rig but either only have 2 or 3 with hooks and the rest with hooks cut off
