Born Lee Jun-Fan in San Francisco, CA, Bruce Lee would eventually become internationally famous as a film star and martial artist. Even if you put Lee's fighting and acting conquests aside, enough fun facts about Bruce Lee exist that reveal him to be a man of great talent and charisma. Even as a young man, Lee showed amazing resolve and dedication to every action he undertook. Responsible for propelling Hong Kong martial arts films into prominence in the West, he completely changed the stereotypical portrayals of Asians in film, especially in mainstream Hollywood films. When it comes down to it, there are likely many different things you didn't know about Bruce Lee.

Bruce will win, Jet Li is the only one with superior skills, kicking in the air is not the same as trying to hit a moving target, specially if the target will strike back, with some sparring training he might be the biggest Lee challenge, but having the guts of a fighter, no sparring session will give you that, in other words he is not a fighter, that gives Lee the edge over him. Seagal is not fast enough to be able to counter Lee's lunge, and no matter what he says, also Seagal is not a fighter, Aikido is more like for counter attacks. I like to add that Seagal's fight choreograph to me are awesome. Chuck Norris is a fighter, he might have given him a bit of a challenge, but his skills were way below Lee's, that involves reaction speed, specifically timing, even though as a fighter, distance judgement, timing it self are skills that Norris is more familiar with, still not comparable with Lee's but he overcome the other contenders by a clear mile in those skills, still not comparable with Lee's, just my opinion. LEE WINS!

@@jamilam1980 .....I've often wondered what a matchup between Tyson & Lee would have looked like......IF.......he would have still been alive while Tyson was in HIS prime. Lee would have easily run circles around him in the ring, or on the mat. I think the ONLY chance 'Iron Mike' may have had.....is if he could have landed one really devastatingly HARD punch directly to Bruce's face. But he probably would have had to have landed the blow first.....and within the first couple of seconds of the match. Would have been fun to watch though.

You need to do a little more research. There was no romantic ties between Bruce and Betty Tang. Betty said this in an interview in her own words. She said the press was trying to pressure her in admitting an affair. Linda even warned people to stop thinking the obvious. In her heart and the hearts of millions of fans who loved and admired Bruce. She wanted people to remember her husband in a positive light. Not the negative crap the press was trying to dig up and exploit. Sure he wasn't perfect. None of us are. The most important thing is that he inspired a lot of people and got people interested in the martial arts.
@ashtweth
@ashtweth 4 жыл бұрын
The important thing is the TRUTH. I don't like praising people who are FAKE especially adultery. Dont speak for all of us, just like Linda. She should of stood up for herself and told the truth. He was not honest and did not care about his wife or family, to me all his work is not worth it, i can do better in life than follow people who hide the truth and are not TRUE to their family. Look at the BS you Make up to live in the ILLUSION of what you think life is you said " In her heart and the hearts of millions of fans who loved and admired Bruce" Thats bullshit, they did not know him for what he is, THAT IS LIFE, you live in delusional reality, just like many others, I dont.

You know I actually don't care if he did or didn't but I know for fact he was inspirational not just in the aspect of martial arts but personal and spiritual growth along with being one of the pioneers to make mixed martial arts mainstream. That's all I need to know. As for his more personal life if I had to guess whether he did or didn't cheat , the only one who knows the truth is Linda and you know what, if she says the press during times of racism and oppression didn't want Lee to be remembered how she and every inspired person remembered Lee then I believe her. It's about context not looking up random websites with click bait tittles and no credible evidence of any facts about Lee especially during a time of misinformation being the market ploy and tons of fake Lee impersonators trying to cash in on his image. Yeah that's all I need to know.

Bruce died before I was born, but many years ago an older guy in my martial arts class mentioned one day that he had been one of Bruce's students when he was first teaching at the University in Washington. When I asked him if he taught them flying kicks or anything really cool like the movies he said nope. He said they drilled basic techniques but mentioned that Bruce told them never to kick above the knee in a real fight. Said he was a good teacher and knew his stuff.

The Hashish fact is kinda new to me. I knew they found some in the autopsy but couldn't explain it. But when I think of the time and place, and as a pain relief and inspiration - it explains. Also the last Tarantino film gave some new facts and brought Lee back to most of us. There's no doubt that Bruce Lee was a very special human being. I hope his inspiration and motivation will last forever. Visiting his memorials in Seattle and Hong Kong is on top of my bucket list.

Most of the things in this video are definitely not commonly know about Bruce Lee. With that being said I was familiar with most of them but I had no idea that Bruce Lee suffered from serious back pain due to an exercise accident and that he used hashish and Cannabis in its various forms to cope with his debilitating back pain. I also didn’t know that the flips and somersaults in his later movies like Enter the Dragon were preformed by stunt doubles. This was an excellent video that was extremely informative and as always, I look forward to the next one!

Arch Angel he also had suffered a back injury from cheap shot during a private fight a few years earlier. That injury may have lead to the exercise injury.

Stellvia Heonheim Lee was really into exercise and getting his body in peak condition. He was known to use electrodes on certain muscle groups that contracted and relax in order to continue working out while doing his other projects that involved him being stationary (like when he was writing screenplays). He designed his workouts so that he would never be bulky but to be super toned so that he would not lose any speed. He obviously pushed himself too far one too many times.

Bruce Lee died of Adrenal Failure due to the excessive use of the Steroid Cortisone. He had been using Cortisone for pain relief from the back injury he sustained three years earlier. In the nineteen seventies little was known about the side effects of steroids and there use was unregulated. Taking too much Cortisone can have catastrophic consequences leading to heart attack, stroke and even death. There are tell-tale signs that someone is overusing Cortisone, the first is excessive perspiration. People who habitually take these drugs have been known to have an operation to remove their glands, its a rare procedure but consistent with this type of drug abuse. In November of 1972, Lee underwent a procedure to have his sweat glands removed from under his arms. Lee was also affected by extreme weight loss in the months before he died another indication of overusing Cortisone. He only weighed 125 pounds with a dangerously low 1% body fat. anything under 8% is not recommended. Lee's loss of appetite and weight loss is consistent with Cortisone abuse. Lee was exhibiting other side effects consistent with Cortisol overuse in the months leading up to his death including headaches and a change in skin tone. The cameraman on Enter The Dragon, Charles Low, was actually concerned with Lee's facial colour changes. Another side effect of Cortisone overuse is memory loss, another symptom that Lee was exhibiting. His biographer Davis Miller, says Lee would tell the same person the same story over and over again not remembering that he'd already told them before. He became increasingly short-tempered. He was getting into arguments with crew members. Maria Yi, one of Lee's co-stars said that Lee had bought a new Mercedes and he would take a photograph out of his wallet of the car and show it to her every 20 minutes, forgetting that he had already done so. I think it's very sad that he had no idea what harm he was doing to himself.

To date, Bruce Lee is the best Kato and the Green Hornet tv show from the 1960s is the best adaptation yet. I grew up watching reruns of the Green Hornet and I absolutely loved it! That was my first introduction to Bruce Lee and after that I sought out Bruce Lee films like Enter the Dragon and the unfinished Game Of Death which are both fantastic! It’s a shame he died so young because he had so much more to offer. He was a legend back then and he’s even a bigger legend now!

It didn't take long for the info to come out. It's just a fact that's not as popular as the others. Every fact in this video is publically known information available even before his death. However, they are just not mentioned as much. People are aware of more myths and "stories" about him than actual facts. Yet for anybody that bothered to do some actual research, they'd know all of this too.

Recently Military History Quarterly included a list of famous people who were otherwise rejected for military service and Bruce Lee was in that list. They included the reasons here, but they also stated that there was a picture of him wearing an ROTC uniform. It used to be a practice that when you went to certain colleges you were required to at least do one or two years of ROTC.

First of all,Jeet Kune Do in pronounced DOE not Duu. Dō in japanese means ''way'' or ''school'' or ''method'' and it's often used to name a martial art,like Aikido,Judo,Kendo or Karatedo (the traditional Okinawan name of Karate,which means ''method or way of the empty hand''.) The Koreans also use it for naming their various martial arts,like Tae Kwon Do,Hapkido or Tang Soo Do. Jeet Kune Do means literally:'' Way or method of the intercepting/stopping fist'' and it's the complete opposite of a ''non-violent form of fighting''. JKD is based on the basic principle,that you ''stop your attacker before he/she can even start the attack''. you don't wait to be attacked,defend and then counterattack like in trad. asian martial arts. Bruce Lee also tought that: ''in a real fight,there's nothing forbidden,if you have to kick to the groin,bite or scratch an eye out,in order to defend yourself from an attacker,do it!.'' It's considered the predecessor form of today's MMA,because it's not a new fighting style,but a combination of techniques from various styles.
