In this video I wanted to use the same color palette as my last video but do something a little different with it. I hope this video is helpful and inspiring for you and you enjoy watching this half as much as I enjoyed creating it!

PM to Paint measurement (estimate):
1.5oz (45ml) PM to between 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) to a 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paint to start. If too thin add a little more paint (or even a gel gloss), if too thick add a little more PM to thin more.

It’s true though sometimes I’m in the middle of a piece and I suddenly get a flash of another one I want to do and I have to write that stuff down or it may be gone in a flash 😂. Oh my goodness that background!! And the bloom came out perfect!! I truly applaud you on that bloom I just did a 14" round floating bloom last night and I had a hard time blowing it out just getting to it was the hard part where I'm so chesty I had to be super careful then I just couldn't get it to blow out but I made it work!! BTW I did my test and the cold didn't seem to change anything in comparison to what was on my table but if I remember correctly you said you had mixed your cell activator at 3:1 to see how it would do I think that's the answer to those cells, mine is also mixed 3:1 because I like my cell activator a bit on the thicker side the cells hold up better for me that way anyhow this piece is a new favorite of mine love the colors and the movement in the background and the shape of the bloom as well it just came out so perfect!! As always great work!!! 🤗🥰🎨💖😍

Thank you so much!! I’m really liking the 14” size but I do have to be on a step stool to blow it out 😂. Maybe try that to give you a little ahem room 😉. There was a black CA I was testing at 2:1 and I loved it, it was the Amsterdam oxide black but all these ateliers I have been working with I still mixed at 4:1 as it’s a thicker paint but at the end of the day it’s personal preference and how it works for you. 🤗💜🤗

@@ThePaintedDreamer yes I'm loving the 14" right now I have tons of space to play I don't loose everything when I spin and I have a box of 4 of the 14" - 1/4" thick wood rounds I had originally ordered for my spinner but decided to use the 20" instead so what I'm going to do is paint them and build a couple end tables with them and maybe another spinner as well so I have a smaller one and a larger one. Lol 😂 uhm maybe some ace bandages gravity is just not on my side!! 😜 I knew I had remembered you had mixed one up thicker to try and see how you liked it but the thickness of the other paint you are using may also be part of those awesome cells!! Personally I like it at 3:1 due to the fact that my paint is on the thicker side right now due to the cool weather I may change it again in the summer who knows lol 🥰🎨💖🤗

Love it! I like when you do experiments with ideas you have in your head. I’m obviously a huge fan of your work and your videos because you teach so well! Thanks for that. I have a question. Do you cover your blooms to dry? I always do because I’m so afraid of them cracking. Is there any advice you can give me about why they would crack?

You’re very welcome Kelly and thank YOU so much! For cracking it’s caused by a few things, your environment for one is a big factor if it’s too dry and low humidity but also leaving too much paint on and/or your paint consistencies are too thick both of these will case the top layer of paint to dry faster than the lower layers which will cause the paint to crack and split. You can cover your pieces to slow the drying process but also make sure there is enough humidity in the air (not too much though) and no air vents or fans nearby causing a draft that will also make the top layer dry faster. Hope this helps 🤗
