Thank you for the perfect rendition and discussion. Didn't Ian write a similar bass line for The Clasp? Also, thank you for the concert with Dee Palmer. It was such a moving experience and I await your next one. I will bring my daughters this time, allowing them to see two brilliant musicians playing brilliant music.

I’ve also loved that song from day one - I don’t understand the criticisms. Well done, as always, Stewart. Your analyses of these songs are mesmerizing- thank you for the education.

I am sure that I wrote this before, but being born in 1972 musically speaking I am a child of the '80s 8 (my father bought me my first rock album in 1980). So yes, I like the late '70s - '80s Tull sound and Ian's way of compose. I listen more often to Broadsword rather than Stand Up (and I know that many will want to put an end to my life for this). But I liked this rendition, a lot Sir. Thank you.

I love your explanations of how a “note stays in the bass”. The baseline anchors the progression in a folky way, and the fills. I could learn so much from you if I had two lives. 😊

I was in the midst of a relationship this song depicted oh-so well when BATB was released. This lovely young couple even saw it performed live 😅

Yet again another impressive rendition of a great Tull tune. Thanks so much Stewart for the mini tutorial at the end of the performance. Looking forward to more in-depth tutorials from you. Sorry to hear about the passing of Gerry Conway. His performance on Kansas City Nightmare/Road to the 18th Avenue by Cat Stevens on the Catch a Bull At Four album is sublime.

Lord Stewart you have closely paraphrased if not quoted my thoughts and sentiments moreover about the lyrics followed by the music since late 1985 relationship dramatics applicable to the subject alternative Broadsword era ostensibly popish song. Kindly continue your performances

I love Flying Colours! It takes me back to a stormy teenage relationship with a fiery red-headed girl, funny how a song can do that. Excellent rendition and loved the explanation at the end,. As always it will make me listen again with new ears.

I for one always thought this song is the zenith of Ian's songwriting prowess, such a cleverly written song: harmonies, melodies and lyrics all pure perfection... and your rendition and analysis showcase this beautifully... it is also quite a hard song to sing to boot, as far as JT songs are concerned, so good job on this as well... thank you, Sir...

Stewart, just discovered your channel yesterday and I absolutely love it. Being a long time fan of Jethro Tull myself, I really appreciate your acoustic versions. Wow! So many of the songs that I can't wait to hear. I really really love your versions of Cup of Wonder, and Summerday Sands. I look forward to hearing the rest. Thank you!

Another one of my favorite songs that you have made come alive acoustically, Stewart! And now I know why I liked it so much with your detailed explanations which are invaluable. I always enjoyed watching Gerry Conway. I don't know if I've ever seen a musician look like he was always giving it everything he had and thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. Really an inspiration to us all in everything we do in life.

I used to think the Broadsword album was so cheesy (and in ways it really is), but as years have passed (I’m 45) I’ve really grown to appreciate it! Great cover! And I love the narrative to accompany the songs.

A great song, a great version and a great tribute. Thank you Stewart. 👏 I’ve always loved this song, …. Right there from the early eighties when I was going to every available Tull gig, near and far around the UK …. And I’ve been playing the album loudly and regularly ever since! Super work Stewart! ❤
