It is obvious that someone has tried to repair the device without knowing how to troubleshoot and check how the device is working. Thanks for all this great videos.

Got a pair of cutters just like them, my state "for cutting music wire" but cut m3 bolts just fine 🙂

One idea is to just use external power supplies for the failed one, to see if the power stage is fried or not. That should be fairly simple, and would allow you to test the remaining circuitry. Just a thought.

Can you talk more about this fancy structure directly on board? This squares and stuff look like a little bit of magic

Definitely interested in a new amplifier design from the parts. Massive band pass filter on the input to limit it to ham bands and see if 23cm bands are any fun. You could time an EME bounce since you're limited to 5w (I'm just assume you're /E) so we can skip the 5w limit. Take aim at the moon, send a pulse, switch to rx and time the delay. Or if you have small (g) grandchildren see if they want to say good night moon to the moon!

Clearly, you should turn this microwave amp into an oven. You just place your food on the heatsink and wait for it to heat up. If you use a dummy load, you can cook a second item on that :D

30W would be pretty formidable on 1296 or 2.4 GHz EME with good directive antennas

Yeah this screams for 23cm EME with a nice parabolic antenna. :)

MAKE A GNSS REPEATER/AMPLIFIER WTIH THE TRASNSITOR OUT OF THIS AMP. ALL GNSS BAND IS BETWEEN 1 AND 2 GHZ. IT WILL BE A GOOD ADDITION TO YOUR GARAGE.

Or sell the transistors.....

Yea please don't return it... Gosh my sides hurt from laughter. The heatsink alone is worth more than what he paid. Shoot just one of the gold re input jacks are worth more than 40 bucks...
