In 1897, an alleged UFO incident took place in the town of Aurora, Texas. According to the reports, an unidentified flying object, described as an airship, crashed into a windmill on the property of Judge J.S. Proctor in April of that year. The incident gained attention due to claims that the pilot of the airship was not of this world. It was purportedly described as a "Martian" or "Martian-like" creature. Descriptions of the airship varied, but witnesses mentioned it being constructed of an unusual material and adorned with hieroglyphic-like symbols.

See this is where yall be talking and spouting opinions without context or facts. There were all kinds of science fiction novels and tropes in the culture by the 1890s. Even 1897 was the same year war of the world's came out. This could easily have been the equivalent of those kids in Vegas from the other month with their backyard tractor hopping aliens that no one but them saw.

Yeah the communication technology wasn't developed so people could only spread the news as loud as they can physically speak. Now we can just press a few buttons on a screen and an entire gallery of information is right in front you. Crazy how so much changed. In 100 years from now I imagine people will be flying in anti gravity vehicles and it will be a common knowledge that many species of aliens exist with definitive proof

This has always been my favorite UFO story. These kind people found the pilot of the craft, and when expired, it was written that the town gave the pilot a “Christian burial “ in the local cemetery. They were not afraid of the occurrence or the being, but they tried to help to the best of their abilities right down to the burial. This was a story of a first encounter with good people just trying to help out a wayward being in a bad predicament. I’d like to know whatever happened to that headstone that marked the grave. Someone knows where that headstone is, and others know that this occurrence was not a premeditated prevarication from a prevaricator. It happened.

It should be noted the "Airship" , as the various newspapers of the day called it, was first sighted in CA. , and then other places along its path to its final resting place.

Apparently, the townspeople who observed the crash site described the alien as a "little space man", they described papers he carried with him, strange symbols they couldn't identify. Every piece of metal along with the body and his belongings were buried in a marked grave. He was given a Christian burial. The grave was either vandalized or messed with after that so the marker was eventually taken away and now is unmarked. There's been researchers who've attempted to locate the grave but have only found strange metal fragments in the spot believed to be the grave. It's also hard to Investigate bc the town rarely allows excavations today.

There was a comment here from a woman that claimed to be a descendant of Judge J.S. Proctor. Her comment said she has some pieces of the wreckage and every time she or her brother uploads a video it gets taken down regardless of how they title the video. Now the comment is gone.

@@AvalancheReef I subscribed but it looks like the channel was deleted. Her channel name was just her normal name and I don't recall what it was. I subscribed it looks like it was deleted. She said she would upload pictures or a video of the wreckage. People were asking her questions in this comment section. The only detail I remember was she said there was weird symbols on one of the pieces.

I saw a glowing silent flying dark yellow orb. A Foo Fighter. Still have no clue WTF it could've been. Took a pic on my phone I showed 2 people and it looked farther smaller and fuzzier than normal. Had a shower thought that it was a previous civilian hit by a commit causing the global flood myth across cultures. It's is aged tech. They don't have the infrastructure or know how to build brand new. So it's like cars in Cuba or jets in Iran. They run but there's not many and they work but have issues and will eventually crash. We couldn't remake an iPhone even if you could Frankenstein them together & keep some running some effort.

I’m sure people coming down in a zeppelin wouldn’t be mistaken for aliens. These were not foolish story tellers but normal farmers trying to earn a living.

I mean I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in 19th century small town farmers being able to identify any sort of technological wonder, but the descriptions they do provide don't sound anything like the debris of a hot air balloon or zeppelin. They describe the debris as being made of an unknown metal that weighted several tons. Can't think of a ton of metal zeppelins outside of led 😅 excuse the dad joke, tis in my nature

Doubt it was from outer space more down here.Some sort of fantastic inventor like myself built and designed this experimental craft that malfunctioned and crashed.I doubt the pilot was the inventor.But he could be, and i find it silly crashing into a windmill also unless the malfunction was the steering, of this craft???.A lot of question marks about the event.

Im not saying there isn’t life out there BUT just think about this, IF you are going the speed of light it would take almost 5 years to just make it to closest exoplanets. 5 years of fuel, food, water, 5 years IF we can go the the speed of light. Visitation from other worlds is very unlikely even if they are out there.

It was put down the well. Later the US government came; collected everything out of the well. The pilot was buried in the local cemetery. The Gmen scrambled the grave markers so the grave site could not be found . I've forgotten whether the pilot was collected also.

I do not believe this. Because an advanced civilization would know how to make a craft that could avoid accidents. Scanners and shields are not exclusive to Star Trek. If we can come up with ideas like that then advanced beings certainly would have been able to protect themselves from such events.

@@Chanticlair47 Well that would be my off the cuff response as well. But on further reflection that idea assigns human values to aliens. The Greys seem quite insect like so maybe they don't value their lives as we do. Heres a human example. During WWII the Japanese put no armour on their planes , preferring to sacrifice lives for speed and handling. The Allies valued their pilots so other than a 90° shot or wind screen shot bounced off. That's why Zeros won so many dog fights until the Hell Cats were on line.
