I'm really enjoying this build. Back in the early to mid 70's, I learned to drive on my uncle's dairy farm. He had two work trucks, a 1949 and a 1950 Chevy pickup. One was a 3 window and one was a 5 window. So, this truck brings back a lot of good memories. I always enjoyed driving those trucks. In the later 70's and early 80's, I used to run oats from the field to the mill in a 1946 Chevy dump truck. That truck still had the crank out windshield. Good times.

I've watched this build from day one and I'm loving the payoff. My father bought a 5 window 48 new and it's the first vehicle I remember riding in. After 68 years I still have a soft spot for them.Thank you for keeping it original.

Looking good Travis! Missed seeing Rick! His value as wingman in your channel can’t be underestimated. Yes, it’s your show, and you do great, but it IS better with at least a brief appearance and wisdom nugget from Rick. Ida like to have seen him come do a 10 second pop/massage of the ding in the passenger front fender, tell us why he used the particular shape dolly and then roll on out.

Ahh, those "days of yesteryear", brought to us by Mr. "Travis"! Love your video. I'm an old dinosaur of 82, and it brings back memories of the days when they made these oldsters. Keep up the good work Sir! And thanks for bringing these oldsters back to life.

White Teflon tape isn't meant for use with fuel, going forward you want to buy the yellow Teflon tape used for gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and other similar substances. They are like $2.75 a roll from Lowe's or Home Depot.

You are amazing that you got a left for dead truck and it is fully functioning now. I really enjoyed the video….neat truck.. I enjoy originality as well. You or whoever buys the truck should paint it back Air Force blue and add the yellow Air Force lettering back. Really cool truck…and I have always liked model a’s. Good choice.

When I first started working on cars as a young kid the wiring was a mystery to me as well. When I graduated high school I joined the Navy and they made me an Aviation Electrician's Mate. Problem solved. At least until everything became computer controlled!

I’m with you on a lot of things. Wiring is not my favorite. And I prefer finding old cars in their original bone stock form as they came from the factory. That Model A is PERFECT!! I’m so excited to hear that you’ll be hanging on to it. I don’t think I could ever sell it if I had one. I think about things like Henry Ford being alive when the car came through the assembly line too. I’m happy that car landed in your hands. Oh, and the shadow of the fuel gauge needle in the truck is so cool, those kind of details are so much cooler to me than any brand new shiny gauge
