Most of the other Crown Vic conversations I've seen are boxed, using the stock tubes looks like it will sit about an inch lower and I especially like your rear attachment plate that didn't have to be cut into the frame, making this a cleaner, easier and less expensive way to go ❤

I have a 56 F100 that I am trying to wrap my brain around how to upgrade suspension and steering. I have looked at many options. I have read the crown vic front end drops the vehicle by four inches which I am not interested in. Do you see a way of installing a crown vic front end that would not drop the front end that much. Also, how did you compensate for this in mounting the rear suspension

Ive seen a lot of Crown Vic conversions seems a good upgrade but nothing as far as engine mounts for installing any engine.I have a 60 F100 with a tired motor and am debating the conversion becuase of what is involved with installing modern engine.Unless its a bolt in thing.

Can you explain what the difference is when installing the 4 link outside the frame rails and installing them inside the frame rails? I’ve seen different kits for my 49 f1. Trying to figure out where to install the 4 links

I have a 52 f1 which is the narrow frame, what year crown vic front end did you use and what year truck frame are you installing it in.. hearing you have to narrow the crown vic cross member to fit the 52 frame.

I watched the video I like how you install the crown Vic front end. My question is can you use the donors power steering from a mustang to fit the crown Vic it's a 94 GT
@raymondw78752 жыл бұрын
I used '98 Explorer power steering pump on mine and adapted to the Vic rack and pinion. You should be able to do the same. You'll just need the purple fittings you can find online and have some hydraulic hoses made.

I hope the owner will have the frame sandblasted or otherwise cleaned, and painted. Would be a shame to leave the new shiny stuff on a rusty frame. The suspension used to be a all-drum brake system, right? Im wondering how should one setup the braking bias on a truck with new frontend disc brakes. If i could ask, how did you measure where the frontend goes? simply end of the frame to the center of the axle?

This must be a 53+ f100 frame they are 34" wide. The 48 to 52 F1 frames are only 32" wide. I wish it bolted into my F1 but it is a lot more work. (Not impossible) I would love to see a video of it done in a F1.
