I pull a crown vic front end out of the local pick n pull and swap it under the old 1969 F100. Use a Back Yard Customz kit to box the front frame and weld it all in place.
Front suspension can be used from the following vehicles: 2003-09 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, or Lincoln town car. OR a 2003 -2011 crown vic police interceptor.

Amazing how versatile the Crown Vic platform has become in the hot rod market. From this truck mod to the entire drivetrain sitting under a 1969 General Lee or racing Vics at Freedom Factory race track. Pretty cool to see how creative hotrodders can be which makes this hobby that much more fun and interesting.

Let the spirits of antichrist, 666, and false religions attack the spirits of Roman Catholicism and Masonry, the spirits of infirmities, sicknesses, weaknesses, deformities, and accidents. Let them attack the spirits of alcohol, drugs nicotine, bad nutrition and abortion. Let them destroy the spirits of mind control and darkness and attack the spirits of Leviathan and pride. Father, we ask You to loose burning, judgment and destruction upon all disobedient and reluctant spirits that fail to follow these commands. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” Luke 10:19, “I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to defeat the power of your enemy Satan. Nothing can harm you.” Matthew 18:18 "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Luke 11:20-22, “But if I am casting out demons by the power of, it proves the kingdom of God has come near to you. When a strong man with all his weapons guards his home, all his belongings are safe: but when someone stronger than him attacks and overpowers, he strips him of his weapons and carries off his belongings.” Matthew 12:25-26, “Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart. And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive.” (These prayers are taken from a booklet which can be read online, called, “Win Worley Warfare Prayers,” which I included a link to below. This looks awesome! I wish this would have been around when I built my '72 thirty years ago. One thing I would have done different would have been to weld up the holes in the outside of the original frame rails were the old suspension rivets was. With them open, I would be afraid of water getting in between the frame rail and the BYC box and causing it to rust and creating a failure point. Great work though! I like it.

@@nealpurdy1202 The kit is from TruckIRS. I used it for my MN12 (Thunderbird) IRS swap. Be careful when shopping for the IRS. They came with 2 different center sections. You want the 8.8. When I did mine there was a bunch of people saying it would leave the rear sitting way lower than the CV front. I did my own homework and decided they were wrong. They indeed were wrong. I took 1/2 coil out of the rear springs to get geometry correct for the IRS and was still roughly 2" higher than the front. In fairness I put 1 1/2" drop springs in the front.

I did mine with no kit. It was before kits were available. Finished it in a weekend. One thing I fail to understand is why everyone now seem to think the alignment pin is so important to keep. It is for the robot that loads the suspension in the car. Not to mention if you want to alter the wheelbase (I did) using this logic of the original holes in the frame does not work.

@@edwardpoff575 old school vs. new. Nothing wrong with new but it was us that made these kits available. We pioneered this swap. I also did the IRS swap using the kit from truckirs. I did my swaps in 2011. Generally speaking ford people build. GM people buy parts to make it happen. I do like seeing kits being made available. They can be used in trucks other than fords. Like I said. We are old school. The reason these kits exist. We showed them it could be done. I personally don't care for this particular kit. My 56 f100 came a farmer's field. Everything was seized solid. The springs had been heated in the 70s to drop it. About those rear control arm bushings. I know that on the Town Cars (limousines, same Panther platform as the CV) we have in the fleet at my work, they wear out fairly quickly. They do almost nothing until you're braking. I cringed at re-clocking the bearings because of how often I replace them. I would have hoped the kit would have allowed for the mounts to be at the stock angle. I hate having to modify wear parts. The wear comes a lot from drying out and cracking, rather than physical damage. I've never found a polyurethane replacement, otherwise I'd use it.

So I have seen videos where other guys measure the holes differently. I have a 72 and I believe it has the same holes yours does for the line up pin on the crown vic. I just want to make sure my wheels are centered in the fenders. You way looks the easiest that I have seen. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for all the videos as well.

Nice cab mounts, good time to clean the 50years of dirt out of them! Hows it drive with a fe or a 460/29 setting on it? Drop spindles on 76+79 disk beams & ps box would keep it all truck parts

I put a narrowed CV on my 56 f100, huge job. stock was to wide, it cut down your wheel choice. you'll probably have to cut off those square blocks or pads cast into the x-member to get the engine to set right. my set up is a 302/aod and those had to go. took about 2 to 3 month to get it in right, I spent more time on the fit and finish of the install. still have to wire it. thanks for your post.

How did you narrow it? I have a 56 also. Did you cut the crossmember or shorten the arms?

@@xmo552 there are pictures on the "ford truck enthusiasts" lots of threads on the topic. the "A" are stock., only the cross member is cut. steering rack must be re-centered.

35 years the twin ibeam was used and I didn't want to lose the traditional look of it on my 66, glad I didn't with the new lowering system for it,, some things you leave as they are,, twin ibeam is one of them.

Nice workmanship. It appears from the video that there should be a 3/16" or so SS shim/washer between the top Aluminium piece of upper A arm ass'y and the new box at the bolt holes. You don't want intimate contact between Aluminium and Steel. Ever. Bottom side of frame should have a non metallic spacer as well where it meets the Al casting. Excellent welding BTW.
