15 MIN RESTORATION brings you another restoration video to enjoy. Restoration of 1950 Uranium glass oil lamp . my friend owns an antique shop. he found this oil lamp while cleaning out his antique shop and called me. when I saw this oil lamp with so much dirt and rust , I decided to restore it, but the glass on top of the oil lamp was missing. that's why I bought a new one from an antique store. We made a plan and thought about how to restore it and make it new.
We put a great amount of time and energy to restore the unique items that our team finds or purchases from individuals. In this video, the outcome is unbelievable. We renew it and made it useable again. It took us 2 weeks to finish the video and as we want to make all of our videos only for 15 minutes, we edited the video professionally to reduce it to 15 minutes. The reason we make our videos only for 15 min is to bring you something short but exiting.
If you are willing to buy this unique item, please feel free to contact us.
Take your time and follow us on social media as well.

1- Why bother smearing mud on the item before cleaning it? We know it is rusty and messed up. That's why you are cleaning it up. Please don't be a fake. There are plenty others out there. 2- Soldering. Is that the correct technique for parts near a high temperature source? 3- Those were some cold solder joints. You will find it much easier if your iron is hotter for working on large heat sink pieces of metal. The tip on the iron must be attached tightly and clean both in the threads and at the tip. Wire brush those and reattach. Tip should also be "tinned" with solder before starting. Helps transfer the heat. Use flux / soldering paste. That will clean the metal surface just before adding the hot solder. The metal will be clean and protected from oxidization just before the liquid solder hits it. That will make a much better and easier joint. 4- Love your closeup video! Well done! Not an easy thing to do.

Thank you for your comments As for the flower on the oil lamp, it was in this condition when we found it at the antique shop And one very good point about soldering you gave was hot soldering, the only video we got of it was not good, we only used a recent video that was cold soldering. Thank you for your comments.

I wish you had not felt the need to roll it in mud, though. Surely the fact that it's old is enough - it doesn't have to be muddy as well. So many channels do this now (faking dirt or rust). I do not believe this is uranium glass - that is usually a greenish yellow colour, and glows under UV Also, oil is not the right fuel for this lamp. You need kerosene or something with a cleaner burn.

Pretty sure that isnt uranium glass. Wrong colour for one.

Just burying antique items and cleaning them up isn't "true" restoration.....just a way to piggy-back on other restoration professionals, IMHO.
