There is a sense of order, neatness and organization everywhere, some parts look like western cities. Then of course it became a free for all....

the british looted this country extensively but the little amount they spent on india was well spent , bombay s urban planning was better then it is now

They looted but brought many good changes like train modern tecknology modern education democracy ect. The city planning was thr concept. So we shouldn't deny thr contribution. Mughals and islamic rulers just enjoyed keeping india poor.

Would've loved to live in the 40s 50s and 60s. 2020s is all about population, pollution and chaos. We may not be poor nation now but lifestyle isn't very livable.

Under the British, only a few streets in India were good. Everywhere else there was starvation, violence and hopelessness. Do not be fooled by these old videos into thinking the British actually did anything for the people. Today's India is a hundred times more prosperous than before independance
