I flew a C185 overseas for several years. All mod-ed up with many of the same mods. Loved that airplane. RPC-660. Enjoyed the video, thanx for sharing.

My uncle had his C180 on his farm in S.C. ( no bush wheels ) My dad flew his C172 out of Peachtree near Atlanta , and loved landing on the grass strip at the farm . The 180 was the first taildragger I ever flew in. Those two Cessna's were the best of both worlds to me. Got to fly the C172 but never the 180. Wished I had learned taildraggers. Kevin, your 180 is awesome !

Beautiful plane! My first commercial job was on a ‘53 180J model, came with a turn and slip along with a venturi to drive the gyros. Love the planes👍

The first ever plane video I watched was one of yours with Kevin and after finding paramotors I had a random memory of watching those beach bush plane vids and that profile of kevins other other plane you shot. I couldn't find it however after searching a few times over the last few years. When I first watched it I heard him saying 150K and just thought my dream of having one is just a pipe dream. Then after moving from Tucker Gotts vids to Trent Palmers I now realize I can buy a kitfox. Just not the motor and AV. Good thing I'm a toolmaker. I'll just get one that needs a rebuild and machine it myself. I searched and searched for that video of Kevin you shot then I saw him in one of Trents vids and was able to find it based on his name and rewatch it all these years later. I'm not rich but I do have a lifetime of old cars and bikes that is worth enough to get the kit so someday I'll finish a couple and place my order.

Kevin, In July I bought a 180 with Texas Skyway O-550. Will be adding Sportsman STC next week. Two questions if you don't mind: 1. In addition to the Sportsman, would you add VGs? 'Not sure if you flew it with the Sportsman and before you added VGs so you could see an improvement with the VGs 2. The Sportsman STC comes with gap seals. In the video you said that you didn't use them. If the Sportsman comes with gap seals, shouldn't I be including the gap seals? Thank you! Always enjoy watching your Flying Cowboy videos!

I can imagine glass cockpit (say, Garmin 3000), LED lights, electronically injected turbo charged engine, oxygen system... Maybe all this is not needed on this 180, but don't say this plane's got all I can imagine.
