Dippin' Dave - Yeah man. I go berserk every time I watch vintage pack breaks and they go from the pack right into a Semi Ridged Holder. I understand that those are the absolute best way to send em over to grading but it takes zero time, effort or cash to put each one in a penny sleeve. It can only help protect the card.

Scratch King - I’ve heard people say that too and it stands to reason that it will if you just shove the cards into things, whether they are Sleeves, Toploaders or Semi Ridged Holders. That’s why I always roll my sleeves back a bit before I place my cards into them. I’ve never had an issue cause of that.

Nob the Knave - I’m with you on that too. 100%. I’ve never understood it completely myself and I use Toploaders mainly. Some people say that Toploaders and Sleeves can catch Corners or you can damage the cards getting them out, but I think the same can be said for the Semi Ridged cases as well. As long as you’re careful and not shoving cards into cases, I think Toploaders are the best overall. PSA will only accept the SR cases though, so if we want to submit to them ourselves, we gotta use them at some point unfortunately.

You don’t use penny sleeves in card saver cases. They’re also likely the best loose case for maintaining quality condition. Don’t get all pretentious about how to properly handle cards when you don’t even know yourself. These are the sleeves all high end collectors use for vintage, and what PSA expects you to send your cards in.

Joel Weidenfeld you know nothing lol. There are many players from that series worth having. Your right it's rare to find them and paying the amount people do, thinking they will find gem mantle. But if you think only 1 player that year has any value I'd hate to see what you would throw away.

@@FSU2001 I would wear some thing called gloves, and going through the pack I would lightly just slide every card off the deck and into a holder. Been collecting since the 80s. You do not squeeze and hold the edges like that, especially an old card. They are terribly delicate

Is this true? I've seen two vids of collectors getting their cards back from PSA and each had a card they said had a blemish that wasn't there before.

Gaston Boykins it’s a graded pack so it has way more value sealed since you can imagine how rare they are. The graded seal keeps it in this state it was graded in.
