I installed a dual master cylinder on my 1949 Chevy truck,but used a master cylinder cap from LMC with a remote reservoir and didn't cut an extra hole in the floor. Was guick, easy, no problems.

You don’t use that puck in the master cylinder on manual brakes. That is only used with a booster! You need to remove it and put a longer stem on it if needed!

Good video only video I've seen that explains the proportion valve split front and rear and what needs. To be done

i believe the little insert on the master is so when you are using a booster with shorter input shaft. If you left it out you may not have needed to cut the new shaft. Also, less chance of the rod falling out

That was a great video I have the same kit coming for my 1955 truck thanksit was a big help. The cover you got for the floor inside , I looked on summit but couldn't find it do you know the exact name of it pleas. thanks

Hey thanks for the link. Do you have disc brakes? I'm only seeing a combo valve for disc not drum. And is it necessary to run one? Thx in advance.

I believe it is. will the system work without it, yes. Will is be significantly safer with it, absolutely. I don't believe it matters. all disc and all drum systems will have the same flow rates between the front and rear circuit so differential pressure would only exist in the event of a leak. The big thing is if you were to run a disc/drum setup, the combo valve would have to be setup to see those two different flow rates and not trip every time you hit the brake pedal.

Where did you get the hatch cover? I ordered the adapter plate- they POL sent me the wrong one--tomorrow morning I going to call-need it ASAP..As for Proportion Val I' don't have time to wait--now because the sent me the wrong bracket and they don't what I really wanted bracket and valve assy- I just got a coorvet dual Resv. Hopefully in the morning they'll call --Where else might I find a complete unit or even a OEM rhats been rehab---

Brake systems are basically the same. It's just the part numbers for your specific application that change. It looks like POL (Performance Online) had a setup for your truck too.
