@avanii Why are you so scared of nationalism ? What is true, is true period. India is not a by product of 200 years nation states like Europe and US. Nor is it founded on genocide of native people like middle East , christian Europe and US . India is a continuing civilization since many millennia and what I said about India is a documented fact for millennia. When US says American exceptionalism you parrot it and say it's ok. When it speaks of greatest universities ( though zero ground level knowledge is given there and there are affirmative policies that discriminate against Indians and east Asians ) you say it's ok , when they say they have greatest democracy when their own people commit insurrection and coup on their white house you say it's ok. But acknowledging Indias uniqueness is a problem to you. And then you say , why Left , congress etc are declining and Modi is ruling unabated since 2014 and continue to run. Because of you people .

@@rayc7671 There is a difference in mindset among Indians though. I remember in the 90s and most of pre 2010s people from India wanted to move to the US and settle there as permanent citizens. The trend among people in the past decade and in the recent times is that people want to move there, study, work for a few years, earn enough money to get back to India and live in comfort with its relatively low cost of living, or move to Europe after upskilling themselves. The illusion of US being a paradise and Utopia among Indian youth has been destroyed. Now they just want to make use of the opportunities and move elsewhere in a few years. I would strongly argue with this folks the cream of the crop, in one aspect...that is they think people should be given chance on the basis of there qualities of mind, and if a brilliant student go to pursue a not so brilliant way to spend their lives then it's the fault of education system itself... That's not true at all, cause we can choose what we want to be... schools target is to make us knowledgeable enough to understand what we really love... though these education systems are non stimulus, I prefer getting to know every subject in a school...by every I mean everything, from surgery, medicine to IT, programming, to history, geology we should learn the proper amount of everything so that we can choose...and there should be a opt out option as well if we don't like it... Idk if the indian guy was really wise or focused, but I'll say he isn't really understanding the big problem here, he is trying to cope with it(as all indians are taught to do from childhood, cope with our environment).

i wish this existed even now. Where the ministry of education of each country chooses a member who represented their country. It would be so refreshing to hear our current affairs and the relations each country has with another, prejudices etc. Im 17, which is around the age of the people in these videos and i cant express how much of a breather it would be to get some good debate from people in my same age group. Ofcourse the internet has those, in some corners, but the best of each country? it would be so good. im also indian, so it would be lovely to see such an educated and well spoken 17 year old, they would honestly be such an inspiration, much like these people are. Many people in these comments act like smart high schoolers dont exist anymore, but the literacy rates of many countries would say otherwise. I believe that this debate now would even be much better than these ones, because of our interconnectivity. We would see representation of a country from its youth, in this highly connected world.

True I believe the same. For example in India they will teach you about engine in engineering college by book and drawings and make you understand its concept and give very difficult questions on automobile ignition. The student might have seen automobile engine one or two times and has a low practical knowledge. This leads to a system which greatly rewards muggers who just memorize up rather than think and understanding how everything works and how they can be better utilized. So the system doesn't develops critical thinking in students. This is shows up in Indian professionals as well. We are very good and efficient work at doing thing told. But if we are asked to make something new. Most Indians find it difficult. However this is changing. Its always the new thing which bring new innovation and money.

Totally Baseless, Indian education system was only open to Two Caste Brahmin (Priest) & Kashtriya (Fighter) which were rigid structure and only by Birth One Gets. But Teacher only Brahmin Can become. Other majority (85%) were strictly forbidden from this education system , in scriptures even suggested to put Molten metal in ear if they hear anything educational or cut there tongue if they utter any education related stuff. That's a reason Ancient education was not carried forward because only 10% were allowed. Teacher were given free land grants in liue of education. Thanks to BRITISH/ MISSIONARY who opened education for all & united India.

@Ultra Chad Slav America still can be the beacon of hope for the rest if we can rise up from the prejudices tainting the world and we will
@bharatvassee2372 жыл бұрын
@Ultra Chad Slav of course there is much truth in what you said and there is much to unpack, I think people will need to learn to live with facts while respecting each other's personal space. Religion is a personal / private thing and must be kept as such, the issue is Most religions encourage its followers to spread it which essentially means using using all available platforms and internet is the most viable one right about now. Access is mostly unregulated except self regulation (children come under this one). While spreading your religion each group will also meet their natural adversaries as they should, so far the group with critical mass/home turf was used to become aggressive in the face of criticism and opposition, internet provides the safe space for opposing forces where conventional violence is impossible this makes some groups want to ban the internet itself no matter how big their personal loss due to such a ban will be. Religion around the world is fast loosing steam and I think you know why it is.. any force that pitches people against one another by coercion need the world to be divided in silos (that can be managed in isolation and must not be allowed to communicate to each other) must be shunned and kicked out, the divide and conquer world as we knew it that world is long gone now, the gene is out of the bottle and its not going back in.. ever. people just need to figure out how to live in this new and crazy world all over again!! happy camping!~

The Indian student's name is Krishna G.Rama. He went to Oxford University (England) and did Bachelors in Economics. Later he worked for some NGO while persuing his P.hD. Not much is known about him but he shifted between UK and USA doing various works in economics research. He never came back to India. He published various books, one of them published in 1993 called "Performance of Public Sector Banks After Reforms" which was his only India related work (the book can be bought on Flipkart) .Reportedly, somewhere around 1998 he started working in the EU committee. Unfortiunately he was suffering from various health problems by this time and In 2002 he died from Ligma. Yes i made it all up. Sorry not sorry. Thank you for your time. I was bored.
