We were planning to go to one of the monthly car meetings. However, we had a small breakdown caused by a loose fuel line. The engine completely died and we had to pull up in the bus lane. At the time of filming, pulling into the empty bus lane wasn’t an issue as all of the buses were on strike.
We eventually managed to get there to the show.

I had a 1961 or 62 MG midget with the same interior but left hand drive. Miss that car even though it broke down a lot. It had a throaty sound I really liked.

Beautiful low entry sports car...Too bad that they did not have a 2 ltr engine in it...I think that it would be better than a Triumph TR3.

put a 1380 in it with 266 cam. lovely car

Currently, it has a 1071. That seems quick enough for the current time being.

The Frogeye has an overbored 1100-10CC engine with a Keith Calver head, a MiniSpares high torque Evolution cam and inch and a quarter SUs produces 79 foot pound of torque at the wheels. It’s a cracking engine. I’ve used a 226 cam before in a 1293, another great cam. The engine on the Mini is an overbored 1100 again with a Piper 255 cam and a Speedwell alloy head but just doesn’t perform as well as the engine in the Frog. The 1071 engine is in a GTM and I have one lined up for the Mini too.
