I once had the "chunk of wood" fail and the hood slammed on my forearm. Oddly, it did not hurt immediately but I felt the consequences for days. Glad that you were able to remove the hood without issues!

Did the GMC trucks come with torsion bars suspension in the front. Hydraulic clutch and the X box frame like the Apache 10 🤔

Yup , it's essentially the same truck, only difference was the motor
