In this video is the work to get the grill front cleaned, repaired, sanded, buffed and the sides painted. I'll post part 2 which shows the rest of the work to get it to final assembly.

2000 grade steel wool is excellent for polishing and removing rust..💯

Thank you very much. I gotta tell ya it was a PITA! The buffer worked great, but it was a bitch trying not to flip the grill up and scratch it on the side of the wheel. I hit it a couple of times, bent it and scratched it and had to go back and fix it. I have to do the same on '64 coupe grill so I kinda have some idea how to do it now.

@@GenesCustoms. It's not easy I'm working on a few myself I'm cracking corners bad I'm in the hole now because I had to replace a couple but I never give up I'll figure it out eventually right now I'm playing with lye

Thank you . Stay tuned. I will be removing the windshield at some point in the not too distant future. I did remove the rear on my '64coup, but it was so long ago I have no idea how I did it.

Did you remove the anodized coating before polishing?

Hello. Thanks for checking out my videos. Yes I did sand off all of the anodizing and it was no picnic! You can see me sanding at about the 12min mark in the video. I HATE sanding.
