In This Episode On the Occasion Of Kargil Vijay DiwasNikhil Narrates the story of how 1/11 Gorkha Rifles captured Khalubar Peak during 1999 kargil war. During the Kargil War, the Khalubar Peak, situated at an altitude of around 5,800 meters (19,000 feet), was a strategically important peak held by Pakistani forces. The peak was heavily fortified, making it a challenging objective for the Indian Army. On July 3, 1999, Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey led his platoon in a daring assault to capture the Khalubar Peak.
Despite facing intense enemy fire and adverse weather conditions, Lt. Pandey displayed exceptional courage and tactical acumen. He fearlessly led his men from the front, motivating them to press forward. During the assault, Lt. Pandey was injured but continued to lead and inspire his troops. His bravery and determination were instrumental in the successful capture of Khalubar Peak.
Tragically, Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey was martyred during the battle. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honor, for his extraordinary valor and selflessness in the face of the enemy. In The same operation Col Lalit rai was awarded Veer chakra.His actions and sacrifice continue to inspire generations of Indians, and he remains a symbol of bravery and dedication to the nation.

Main uss waqt college mein thi...hostel mein newspaper mein roz apne veero ki shahdat dekh rote aur prarthna karte, jaldi se yuddh samapt ho jaaye aur nuksaan hone ruk jaaye. Aaj bhi woh din aankho ke saamne aate hain toh aansu aaye bina nahi rahte. Mere desh ke veer jawano ko shat shat naman hai.
