One of my all-time favorite guitars right there. I remember falling in love with this guitar watching George Harrison play it for the Rooftop Concert. It's the one guitar I would buy if I won the lottery, either an original '69 or the George Harrison reissue from a few years back. I simply think it's one of the most beautiful and iconic guitars out there. I can dream....

I had always heard That George was the first to come up with the idea of the all rosewood tele,and they were built mostly to have something new to exibit in trade shows in the beginning.

I would have played - Neck: Let It Be solo Anthology version (obviously) Middle: Dig A Pony Bridge: Dont Let Me Down Just the songs that, to me, emphasis his Rosewood Tele sound. Either way great playing on a beautiful guitar!

I had one of those and didn't care for it much at all. Very heavy. This one sounds a lot better than the one I had. Beautiful guitar, though. Stunning, great sound.

@Larry geetar Yeah, Larry, I can really understand how you feel. I had a Ford GT-500 that rode so rough it made my back ache for days every time I drove it. So after several years of putting up with that abuse I decided I’d had enough and swapped titles for a Tesla a few months ago. My back has never felt better!

Incredibly beautiful guitar... Just one rather strange factor. None of the songs that were played in this video was recorded on the telecaster... The get back parts was a casino, come together was a les Paul, and revolution was either the same les Paul or the same casino. Great video none the less!

YES! Mark points out the awesome-looking maple skunk-stripe (and maple plug above the nut), a fantastic look on a rosewood neck. BUT, George's original doesn't have that! (based on the well-known picture of him holding it in the studio). I guess it was only on the versions that followed the prototypes??

If that's the case then it probably doesn't have the maple where a headstock-adjusted truss rod would be, and Fender must have just routed the neck before putting the truss rod in, at least for George's tele.

I bought one of these at a guitar show in 1991. The seller thought it was fake and I didn't know what it was. I just liked the rosewood. Turns out it was a 1968 (By SN# on back). I paid $625.00 for her. Unbelievable sound through my Vox AC30. Phil Kubicki (RIP) verified it was the real deal. Dumb ass good luck...

I wish I saw this in time to see it on the website, does anyone know what the price was? I'd love to know how it compares to a standard '69 Tele (and how many more 0's I need in my bank account). Thank you for the great videos Mark, I've learned so much about vintage guitars and basses. Also, I love it when you bend the neck on a nice guitar for some vibrato (like with the leather bound Gretsch), you don't just admire these great guitars, you play them! Play on!!!
