1969 Mustang GT New BFG TA's 225-70-14 on Styled Steel Wheels Mustang Connection

1969 Mustang GT New BFG Raidal TA'sszie 225-70-14 get installed at America's Tire. These are the restored chrome Styled Steel Wheels featured in recent videos getting the chrome cleaned up and the powder coating done at Peacock coating. For those wondering the original size would have been F-70-14's or 215 70 14's in metric. These are slightly taller than an F-70 but they look right at home on the 1969 GT.

I have always liked those wheels and almost had a set for my 66 'Stang back in the day, but couldn't quite talk my friend out of them off his 67 Mustang. I did have a set of the painted wheels on my 64 Comet Caliente and what a difference it made in looks over the stock hubcaps. Thanks for sharing Rich.

+Cobrafanatik22 I am not sure my schedule is going to allow it to happen, super busy right now. I would love to put it in Barrett in Vegas but want to take full advantage of the advertising you get with catalog and website exposure. It would not get either. I still have to fix a few leaks, detail the seat belts, etc. Maybe Mecum in November in Anaheim or Barrett in January.

my dad & I restored a 68 cougar xr7. started when I was 11. new floors, rails, motor, etc. we need rallys so bad. just have standard skinny steelies. what's your plan with the old ones?

+dan sprouse Hey Dan, Wow that is quite the project you have going on there! I am putting the "old" styled steel wheels on the current '69 project. I would run the chrome X-R7 wheels on your car, they look awesome on Cougs.

Hey Rich!...Nice Chrome GT Wheels and 225/70R14 B.F. Goodrich T/A Radial Tire Combo! I was wondering what is the Size of the Factory Chrome GT Wheels?...14 x ?...Would the 235/60R14 B.F.G. T/A Radials also fit without any Rubbing on the Front and Rear Fenders? Lastly would the 14" or 15" Magnum 500 5 Spoke Chrome Wheels Fit on the 69 Mustang GT Couple as well?...Thanks and God Bless!

14x7 on the factory styled steel wheels. Don't know off hand how the 235's tuck in the wheel-well\Fenders. Yes 15" Magnums will fit as long as you don't go too wide.

The factory GT styled steel wheels are 14x6 , they are reproduced in both 14x6 and a larger 14x7

+Joseph Kayrouz Thanks Joseph, Yes still plugging away but I did change out the rear leafs again( 3rd time) and fix some small things. Still a small list of fixes-details that need attention but it's come a long way.

+Basil Graham The steering box, pump, ram, lines, center drag, ps control valve, pulleys. Best to buy a complete change over .

nice stang but I would have gone with Mickey Thomson sportsman S/T with raised white letters I think they look way better.. BF TAs are just plain played out on old muscle cars that and mickeys are way lower in price but hey very nice stang
