❤ the 1970 Coupe deVille. My dad had one in white and black that I learned to drive in at 12. Dad let me pull it in and out of the garage and move cars around our driveway. Never did need to take driving lessons when I got my license a few years later.

It is missing the pneumatic cylinder to make the trunk latch easily. They fit at the right hinge, the roller pushes the cylinder down and internal spring pressure pulls the trunk lid fully closed a second after latching via the cable across the floor -think of a screen door closer.

How much do you charge for something like this ?

I have a 69 convertible what airbags setup did you use?and how do you feel about the aftermarket control arms that replace the factory control arms. I’m looking to do a similar setup and wanted to know your opinion.
@callahansgarage Жыл бұрын
This kit was all from BC Fab. The only benefit I can see to an aftermarket control arm is being able to possibly air out slightly lower.

I have a question about the front suspension. I noticed I didn’t see anything about the install of the front shocks. Are they necessary with the bags? Thank You. I just subscribed :)
@callahansgarage11 ай бұрын
Shocks are always “necessary” to dampen the compression and recoil of your suspension. On these cars and a lot of others, the shocks have to be relocated when doing bags, which becomes really difficult depending on wheel and tire selection. The driving experience on these cars isn’t much impacted with no front shocks, but it’s always better with. I’m working on a solution for the install on my hearse currently.

Love this! Followed you on instagram, I'd gladly pay to have you install the airbags on mine.

I have a 1971 Cadillac eldarodo I want to bag it but it’s front wheel drive and nobody makes a kit for it have you ever done one if so how did you do the front?
@callahansgarage Жыл бұрын
I have never messed with any fwd eldorados. I’m sure it’s doable would just require more fab work.
@sirlucius3016 Жыл бұрын
My 75 eldo convertible is fwd. You have to custom fab everything

I'm wondering how much for a job like that? I have a 78 Buick Electra deuce and a quarter that I want to slam!🔥
@callahansgarage11 ай бұрын
There are a lot of factors to consider. You’re looking around 3-3.5k in parts for a basic set up. If you need to pay a shop for the install, it’s a few days of work , and labor rates will vary.

I will never understand why these people insist on putting ghetto wheels with conveyor belt tires on these huge luxury cars of the 1960s... just because one CAN do something, doesn't always mean they should

Because it looks far better than hubcaps. Changes the ride none

@@scottlaz Oh, I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe I'm a purist but I have restored dozens of cars in my time and the most radical thing I've ever put on them is maybe a set of equal period Cragars. And I will admit these don't look as hideous as some do.😉
