1970 Plymouth Superbird Barn Find!!! Sitting for 25 years!

This Superbird sat in this chicken house since 1994, it had only been pulled out one time in 2004 and had sat since. We pulled it out in March of 2020 and got it running and driving. You can see the progression of the car on Instagram using the hashtag #Mopars5150_lilmisscannon.

Clean engine, no mice in interior . Brakes ain’t locked . Too many things pointing to the facts that car hasn’t been sitting in that barn for 25 years. That’s a beautiful car stand alone why do you have to make it something it’s not ?

It seems nowadays, throw some dirt on a car , stick it in a corner of a barn, get a few spider webs, and "Instant Barn Find". It really takes away from an actual find.

@@peterprincipe493 I have to agree 100%. I have dealt with cars that have sat for a while. All the rubber is dry rot (break lines , gas lines). And on top of that you’ve got mouse and other animals making a mess in the interior. There is so much hidden and visible damage that cars get from just sitting, even in a garage.

Great score and thanks for sharing. I hope they keep it as survivor. I would personally clean it up of course, and fix the mechanicals. Then cruise the heck out of it. I don't care how much a car is worth. It should be driven on occasion. And not stuck in some museum.

The car was not sitting in the barn for 25 years look at the shine on the paint look at the shine on the wheels look at how clean the interior is not one drop of pigeon poop on it they parked it in there and put a fan on it to blow dust on it that was it

That 'bird's def a nice looking ride; it may clean up quite nicely. Although to whom it may concern, please either get the correct air cleaner or, if the one that's on the car is correct, it really needs to be gone through since the famous orange Mopar HP breathers didn't start till 1972

GODDAMMIT, that Superbird is my dream car, when I first saw Richard Petty drive it to the winners circle, courtesy ABC Wide World of Sports, I was only a kid!!! Hopefully I'll find a true barnfind like that, sometimes you'll never know what's in your own backyard!!! Mopar or no car

Wow considering how long it sat it don't look too bad! I would just detail the hell out of it and get it running! Back in 78 when I was 17 the local Chrysler/Plymouth dealership had an Orange Superbird with 30K miles that was drop dead mint and they had it up for sale for $3500! The only problem was back then I was a dishwasher at a local restaurant getting $1.15 an hour so it was an impossible dream for me at the time! Sometimes I still day dream about that Superbird it was that nice!

@@alanscott6241 Driver's side tires were flat. Did you not watch the video? Did it ever occur to you that they may have aired them up? Brakes could've been locked up too and they could've broken them loose when they aired the tires up. I swear to if God you guys don't see someone do something on camera then it never happened.

It’s nice to see that it’s still in great condition! I walked through there 16 years ago with the gentleman that owned it but had no money to buy it. Did he tell you the story on that 70 6-pack super bee parked up in the corner? Must have been 30-40 muscle cars there then and still looks heavy with “ inventory “. He wanted my 4 speed r/t charger back then, but I wouldn’t sell. Still have it but very crusty. Anyway, great find and would love to see it again one day.

Bought for $5000 from a barn owner who did know what he had. Haha. He thought it was a Satellite Superbird tribute, but turned out to be an all original really, real deal Superbird with only one repaint, with nose graphics installed incorrectly and repop wheels.
