My uncle had 3 of these growing up. I got a brown scorpion hand me down for $10 bucks. That's not the original front fender. Chrome steel just like the rear.

Just curious as to why you say made in USA made in China? They were made right here in Mansfield,Ohio the company was started by two Rupp employee which was also made here in Mansfield Ohio

This is a 1971 Speedway Scarab. For it to be a Scorpion it would need to have front/rear lights. Also that front fender is NOT original (should be metal and chrome.) Blower housing on motor is incorrect (should be black for 1971.) Mud flaps are obviously not original either.
