I have one of these, a '72 GT750 J , in the 11 years I have owned it, have completely rebuilt the bike, engine, Crank Seals, Etc. Runs on Avon tires, and is exceptionally great handling.. compared to what they had in 1972..... I take it out every weekend, run Amsoil Dominator 2 stroke racing oil in the injector bottle, and virtually no smoke out the rear pipes, and I run 100 Octane AV fuel... It howls.....It's a touring bike... but still a blast, and have never seen another one on the streets here in Northwestern Arizona in the 11 years I have owned it.............Have the Big Crash bar on the front, and the 2 smaller ones on the rear.....a rare option from '72...

Hi, Fantastic looking GT750. I had one in the same colour dated 1975 here in the UK. We used to call them the GT kettle as they could and did boil over in slow traffic. Keep up the good work the bike is a credit to you.
I have a 750J here in OZ. Stock except for the paint. Love her dearly. seeing this clip is great , especially the temp gauge jiggling, i thought only mine did that haha.

Ahh , the 2 stroke idle, the smoke, the fuel tap usually on reserve.. I have so many memories of my J (still got it stored in the shed) many happy, some terrifying, usually featuring the drum brakes and horrendous steering wobbles at high speed. Ur bike looks in mint condition, congratulations, look after her.

If you ever restore yours, put some fresh Avon tires on it........ guaranteed to get rid of the high speed whobbles................................TIRES MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE................
I wonder what one would cost if it were sold today. I loved riding these. You can keep the 76 & 77 models, porting changes and constant velocity carbs ruined my day. I do like the disk brake though.
