Two things I've always dreamed of owning was a 1974 or 75 Imperial LeBaron and the Hobart KitchenAid Superba dishwasher. Both top of their class.

They were not easy to store. I often wonder if Nanna's ole Betsy is still out there. Was identical as the one above. Ashtray lighters on both sides in the back, lol. With a little switch to turn on the light above. Oh,,,,you're in Ontario... interesting.

There's actually no such thing as "Corinthian leather". That was just a Chrysler marketing term for the same old leather everyone else uses : )

And it worked beautifully. Here we are talking about it decades later
@user-oq5bv8ue4c8 ай бұрын
Actually it wasn't. Chrysler did a lot of sampling till they found a certain type of leather. True it was a marketing move, but it wasn't the same. Çheck out the the interview with Ricardo Montalbon.

i prefered the model before. The face of this one looks like too much to a new yorker of the same year. The america that i loved.

The face of the 74 and 75 Imperial looked nothing like the New Yorker - the New Yorker adopted the Imperial face (and tail) for 76 when the Imp was discontinued.

It is an Imperial LeBaron, not a Chrysler!

That pi@#$% me off as well when people refer to it as a Chrysler.

Chrysler itself caused all the confusion. It was a CHRYSLER Imperial for 20+ years before it was spun off as a separate make. And by the early ‘70s, Chrysler was referring to it as a Chrysler Imperial in some print ads and threw an “Imperial by Chrysler” nameplate on rear panels to bring Imperial’s embarrassingly low sales figures into the Chrysler fold again. And it’s almost 50 years since Chrysler put the brand out to pasture, so let it be. Imperial or Chrysler Imperial, it’s the same car.

@@edwardp3502 By 1975 Imperial had been it's separate make for 20 years. Too bad you fail to acknowledge that but it doesn't change the fact.
@edwardp3502Ай бұрын
@@ImForwardlook I literally mentioned it was a separate make in the second sentence. But Chrysler was lousy at making that new make anything more than what it was for the first 20 years, namely the high-end Chrysler. They sold Imperials at the same dealerships as regular Chryslers, on the same floor as Newports and New Yorkers. They gave Imperial a somewhat distinct body from 1957-66, then reverted to sharing a lot of panels with the New Yorker, and mechanically there was nothing on an Imperial that you couldn’t get on a New Yorker. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Imperial fan. But this insistence that nobody can call it a Chrysler Imperial is just silly.

Que poca originalidad lo de chrysler Por que es una mezcla del fleetwood cadillac y del continental lincoln.. plaggio..
