Continuing the discovery of all that needs repairing on our new Jeep acquisition, I do a compression test on the AMC 232 inline 6 cylinder engine, change the spark plugs and adjust the carburetor.

Yes, it is running and better than it was. It's definitely a back-burner project.

Yesterday, I thought about your Jeep and wondered when you were going to update us on progress. And, here we are. :-) Sounds like this was recorded last June, however. Compression seems fine? Perhaps that will simplify a little of the work that it needs?

Not really progress, just lateral movement. It's still not at the top of the list but I'm messing with it intermittently. The video was recorded in June. I forgot about it and thought folks might be tired of house videos. The compression actually surprised me. I don't know what is going on with the oil pressure. It could be the sending unit or wiring since it's electrical and not mechanical. If I can nail down the drop in oil pressure to something other than bad bearings then, yes, it will simplify things tremendously.

You're stuck on stuck rings, a leaky valve train is many times the culprit

True. Singular focus. LOL! It could be corrosion on the valves as well. Or just sticky. I have no idea how long it sat without running. Thanks for the reminder of other potential answers to the problem.
