59:35 Greg Chappell taking a can of beer from a spectator, lol. Glen Turner's interview. Can't imagine any modern day player being as articulate as that.

Glenn Turner was absolute class...if only he'd played more tests.

First time seeing Wadsworth keep, such a shame he died so young, 2 years after this game :(

Languid like Kapil Dev in his early years. Later both achieved enormous fluidity in runupand stride

He still had that little step at the top of his run up though.

Thanks so much for posting this: I’d never before seen any footage from this series but followed it closely on the radio at the time. Most grateful.

Fantastic to see this, Turner absolutely magnificent. I've tried to get video of him in seventies, and this the first. And luv the last interview with him with beer in hand

One of the umpires would have a sore back at the end of the day bending over the stumps like that😊

Thank you for posting this. I recall listening to the ball by ball commentary on the radio. NZ played well for a change though for a while it looked like they were trying hard to give the Aussies a chance - that Congo run out!

59:01 the bloke who grabbed the ball from the winning runs and was chased by one of the players. LOL.

The Aussie player Ian Redpath who chased down and collected that ball, presented it to NZ player Brian Hastings. In Feb 2023 the ball was presented to the Hagley Oval pavilion trust where is on view in the pavilion.

Little wonder that Aus lost- Max Walker was the only leading test fast bowler in Aussie side for that match. Dymock was very handy at Shield level but limited. Mallett a good spinner. Greg Chappell bowled nearly 40 overs of medium pace in the match! No wonder he was drained in the batting department.

Some of these dismissals are incredibly poor - no feet movement just hanging the bat out hoping to make good contact.
