Tony, you are truly blessed person, you have your parents/friends, worked hard to have a nice car collection, and even when things go wrong, you still can make an interesting video that makes everybody wish that they were there, where you are right now, thanks for letting us see what you are seeing through Your eyes in the video, Greenfield Village looks incredible, with everyone there, and all the cars
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
Thanks, Dave! Greenfield Village (The Henry Ford), in general, is my Disneyland. We think the truck will be fine. Aaron is a Godsend! We couldn't have done it without him.

Seeing that dark green interior brings back memories of our family’s 1977 Granada Ghia sedan. It was Dark Jade Green Metallic and the interior was two tone green. Leather seating surfaces and door panel inserts were a very light almost silver-green. Very posh looking! The Granada had every option except moonroof, four wheel disc brakes and remote trunk release.
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
Thank you! My plan is to eventually get the interior changed over to the option two-tone green. You can see it in my other videos like this one here. 👇kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o6t7dKyd3teWdKs.htmlsi=Ae2k3pf4vclQDmBQ

Lookin' GREAT. Factory interior parts never matched perfectly anyway. Rode in the back of a '67 Country Sedan as a kid. Those were the "Premium seats" as far as us kids were concerned...👍🏁

IIRC the 1968 Country Squire we had had bigger rear jump seats; it looks like the fuel tank is between the jump seats and the rear seat on this wagon. The 1968 we had had the fuel tank between the frame and the rear fender on the driver's side and it stood upright. That was when the wagons were a separate series. GREAT VIDEO!
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
Yes, that is correct. Thank you!

Shout out to Aaron for helping Tony with his truck issues during the trip. I spent most of my childhood in the back of that Jade Green station wagon on countless roadtrips across the country. Our 1978 Country Squire wagon did not have the 3rd seat so my father would always stow the luggage in the deep well compartment and we would lay on the carpet in the way back. We'd sleep there, play games and wave at other cars. This wagon keeps bringing back so many memories for me it's incredible. As far as the event goes, i love the way Tony showcased the car with the Mardi Report in the front windshield and all the other dealer brochures in the back. Presentation is important and the car looked amazing. Alot of work but well worth it.

That was a quality upholstery and dye job. Only cars out there to my knowledge that dwell on absolutely perfect color matching interior and exterior parts are over priced ultra high end European cars. The car to me can pass for low miles no miles. Enjoy the trip Enjoy the show. I would love to be in Detroit for the show too, but maybe next year. Absolutely gorgeous car.

That diff got hot because you were pulling a 5000lb car and 1800lb? trailer. Wagon looking nice. Hope you get to spend some time talking to people about it.
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
I did get some time today, and mom and dad said it got a ton of attention yesterday. We believe the diff lost enough fluid from the seal leaking that it simply overheated. We believe and hope it's gonna be fine now. 🙏 That truck has pulled a very heavy fithwheel camper thousands of miles and never had an issue until now.

Very nice! ...the rear end problem is a puzzler. No discloration or metal shavings or... anything, really.
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
Yeah, we think it just got low enough with the seal leaking that it simply got too hot. We believe that with the new seal and all new fluid, we will be fine now. Cross your fingers! Thank you!

The only reason anyone would question those panels is because they look to good! Please don't let anyone load stuff in the back of the wagon after all your hard work. How did you determine that the rear end of the truck was "getting hot"? Looks like a real fun trip. Went to a local car show today and did see a beautiful 77 Grand Marquis four door.
