1982 Honda MTX 50 - Ride Review Best Bike ever Mtx 50
The MTX50 trail version was sold alongside the MBX, and Honda produced both road and trail versions of their well-liked and easily modified 50cc learner legal vehicles. Despite being known for their four-stroke engines, 50cc machines had a very lucrative market in Europe because, thanks to their legal classification as "mopeds," riders as young as 16 and, in some cases, as young as 14 (! ), could ride without a licence. There is no doubt that 16-year-olds or even younger had it better in the 1980s.

My 1st bike back in 86. Perfect bike for the taller rider. They were always a bit bigger than the DT etc. I would have one again for my short commute to work.

What do you mean by taller? Do you think a 1.93cm person would fit well or is the 50cc to small?

I had one and Tuned it, had a 65 autisa kit gianelli pipe reshaped head, h100 carb mix 80 manifold. Brings back fond memories 😃

I have a 1982 MTX 50. It was my older brother's bike which i bought in 1987. It was a workhorse, used it on a daily basis and restored it in 2017 and it's now my prize posession. Can confirm it's the best bike ever. Yours is missing the brace/stabilizer between the front forklegs? The silencer is worth its weight in gold by the way!

Love your bike videos watch everyone what a cool little bike ... Commuting on A ANF 125 INNOVA AT THE MOMENT ... The exhaust blew a whole in it the other day and it sounds like a FIREBLADE when I'm flat out

@RetroBikesDublin sounds good enough for me, found one with 6k miles dose a trip ever week or so on it. Serviced property ect. 1500 quid I think it's a bargin

Got it in then end, seems to be eating through fuel. Needing to put reserve on after 40 miles ( tank was just under full ). Should it be like this seems a bit excessive ?
