I bought one brand new in 84, for $3400. It was my only vehicle at the time while in the Marines. I'd ride it home on weekends 12 hours round trip, super smooth doing a buck ten on i95 @ 3 in the morning. Great memories

Me and 2 of my friends walked into a Honda dealer in 1985. One friend bought a new Blue nighthawk, the other a V65 Sabre, and I bought a 1981 CB750F that had just been un crated.

Seeing this is like stepping back in time , I feel a little younger to . I miss the early 80`s paint colors Honda used .

I had the same exact bike. Rode that bike from Chicago to California in 1985. Loved that bike! Wish I still had her. I ran with bigger Kaws. She was so much fun! Trouble Free! Great Video!

This was my second bike. I currently have a Ninja and a CBR sitting in my garage, but even those two don't compare to this machine in my opinion. Mine was the 86 model and while it was used, it was in perfect condition, replaced the stock exhaust with super traps and it sounded awesome, oh the memories.

Used to love riding on my Uncle's Nighthawk. That is the most beautiful shade of blue that I have ever seen. 😲

Back once again… I can't help myself. Lol. God I used to love these bikes and still do. They're fairly timeless. If you were to take those orange pumpkins off and put some regular turn signals on it, and maybe if it had a rear disc brake, you could tell me it was designed yesterday and that it's a brand new bike and I would believe it.

My first bike was CB 700 SC had to sell it but bought the same bike again ! Bulletproof !!

Man I have always loved these bikes. In 1984 I was 18 years old and I believe I was writing a Honda CX 650 Custom at the time. Great bike. Loved it. But then my best friend decided to go to Sullivan’s Honda City in Middletown Connecticut and buy a brand new bike. Well, I think you can all guess what he bought. Brandy new 1984 Honda Nighthawk S in red and black. I was so freaking jealous. I still remember the first ride he let me take on it. I came back and I was so impressed and I was like “Brian… How did you know this bike was so awesome“? He said, “Well… I just loved the way it looked and it’s a Honda so I knew it would be mint”!!! It ruined me because I enjoyed it so much more than my own bike. Don’t get me wrong, my bike was fine and in pristine condition… But it wasn’t the Red & Black beauty known as the Nighthawk S!!!

Boy does this take me back!!! That was my first road bike. Bought a black and red one brand new for nearly $3K from the local Honda dealer. I remember it had a gear indicator with "OD" as 6th! LOL

84 Nighthawk 700S blue 05 ZRX 1200 green 83 CB1100F white tank black rims 89 ZX7 Ninja green/blue/white. Twin round headlights and pool hoses from the fairing to the gas tank. My short list of badass bikes. The Nighthawk has a model with white tank and black rims. It looks wicked.

I know there are faster bikes but for some reason 83-86 nighthawks 650 and 700 are my favorite bikes ever built .They are just so good looking and well made and reliable that I can't even look at other bikes now .

If I remember correct they had hydraulic lifters in the valve train and they had no clicking or valve train noise and never needed adjusting. Always wanted one because of that, my Yamaha was always clicking and tapping at idle

i had the exact bike in 1988. i bought it for 1800.00 . with 9000 miles on it. kept it for 4 years an sold it for 1800.00 wish i had kept it.

Back in 86' I test rode the S model, it was used with low miles and I red. I remember it was very fast.

If I'm not mistaken it had 80hp and the rider tested this bike turned a 12 flat quarter mile and top speed was close to 150mph absolute beautiful gazelle of a bike!

Bought mine earlier this year, not pristine, fucked it up myself but fixed her up and riding her around like god intended!

Never owned one of those but always thought the blue one was a great looking bike.

I'm currently restoring one of these, class of '84 factory blue. You should consider going up a size or 2 on the jets, these bikes were tuned really lean to meet emissions standards, causing high temps, damage & warping. Having to bore my motor over .75mm because it's so warped .5mm wouldn't be enough.

That is a timeless classic for sure . Another time Honda did everything right . I owned 4 VFR'S and never understood why people didn't like them as much . Mine were dead solid reliable , sounded great with that unique rumble and were magic on the road. The only one that had troubles were the 500 . It's oil journals were too small and some of them seized. But , 750 , 800 and 1000's were great . Let a Honda go through 1 year of production and you've got a pretty sure bet . PK

I always loved these. That was the year I turned 16 and if I was rich that’s probably the bike I would’ve killed myself on 😂😂😂 but I still had that kind of 70s muscle car kind a look and the color is awesome another time that was a pretty hot looking bike that was still kind of the muscle car era brute look to it and I loved it. Eventually I ended up with an XL 600 which Ashley said to me better but I loved these I still think they look awesome that would look awesome sitting next to an old Chevelle or an Oldsmobile 442.

There's one of these in the same color parked in south Philly. Not sure if it runs, but I wish the owner would at least throw a tarp over it. Beautiful bike

One sexy machine Kap, inline 4, 6 speed that topped out at 236.6 km/h (147.0 mph). Even tho it did not have the brakes to stop it in time. Pls don't ride these museum pieces full throttle 🙏

The only thing I don't like is the twin exhaust. Have never seen aftermarket exhaust on one of these.
