that doesn't have this engine it most likely has the 4a-fe engine, but the principles are the same since you're here on a diy style video I assume you have basic tools, what id do is remove your upper timing cover, on the 4a-fe its relatively simple, you have to unbolt a wiring harness from above it and do a bit of messing about to get it free of the valve cover, once you remove it do a simple visual inspection of your belt, look for obvious signs of wear and check its tension, a good belt should have a reasonable amount of play on one side of the cam pulley but near none on the other. I'm a yank but I believe 95k km's is nearly 60,000 miles, mileage wise, if its on its factory belt, then its about time to replace it. consider also that If its the cars factory belt, its nearly 30 years old. timing belts are tough, but would you trust 30 year old tires? its nearly the same, now that said the good news for you is that your car and mine have non interference engines, meaning that in the result of a catastrophic timing belt failure, the valves in the cylinder head wont contact the pistons, our Honda loving brethren do not have this luxury, I personally had a timing belt fail in a 1987 Celica convertible with the same 3s-fe engine, the only damage to the car was a timing belt shaped hole in the upper cover and a mess of steel wire and rubber. the car is still running using that engine today, nothing serious resulted, but it was very inconvienient and left me stranded on the side of the highway, nice find on that corolla btw, low mileage as all get out, keep it nice for me will you?
