Ahh......this brought back memories! I had this exact 1989 LXi coupe, same color inside and out, only with the slick 5-speed manual. Bought from Sunnyside Honda near Cleveland. Lotta fun to drive. Kept it through 1995 and then sold it.

My mum drove this kind of car from the early 90s until about 2001. Hers had silver paint and I believe a different interior colour scheme. The sounds when you turned on the vehicle brought back memories.

I had an '88 Accord LXi Coupe in this same green color. Bought it brand new, way back in the day. Didn't keep it long though. When the '90 Accord came out, I sold the '88 and bought a sedan in the new body style. Have driven nothing but Hondas and Acuras since 1984. Have had 3 Preludes, 6 Accords, 1 Integra, 1 TSX, 5 TLs and my current car, which is a TLX. Love Honda/Acura!

I owned one exactly like this one, and I loved it. I kept it so clean as the interior was a light buff color. When I traded it in for a 1999 Accord, people were looking at my trade in awe because it was so clean. I was young back then and had more time before children and marriage. Lol I haven’t kept a car that clean since! Lol

I’m buying one today in this exact color and style but it has a sunroof and it has only 110,000 original miles! One owner I’m so excited. $4,000 too!

Had this in black with a stick in 1989. Paid 13K off the lot. Sold it in 1994. One of the best cars I've ever owned. Smooth. 34 mpg. Pop up headlights.

I just bought a great running red one with an oil leak and faulty headlight for 680$ in Springfield Oregon, on marketplace. Already drive it and am working on the headlight. 5 speed coupe Lx-I 120 horse.

Just traveled 5 hours away for a 1989 Honda Accord SEI sedan with 87k miles. Drove it all the way back no problem.

Hmmm. No sunroof? I thought they were standard on the LXi. Maybe not on the coupes?

I would right away if I had the money for it, I know it's got so much life left in it and I've never seen one from that generation that actually looks next to showroom new.

omg, I have the SAME exact car the only difference is that mine has a spoiler on the trunk. I only have one question...how is the car not vibrating!! that car has 50k more mines than mine and it purrs like a kitten. Did that car ever vibrate or did you get it fixed? thanks.

That's nice, you enjoying your Accord? Yeah IDK about it not vibrating, all I know is this one was clearly been extremely well maintained and preserved.

@@calscarcorner3526 ok just wondering, because my accord was pretty well maintained for its whole life but it started to vibrate on idle only when it was a couple years old....couldn't figure out the problem since :( but I ain't giving up on her!

@@aleki_2.4t61 I have a friend with one, he says it's the engine mounts, have you figured it out since a month ago?

@@fliguman Well, a while back I changed the engine mounts and it didn't do anything it still vibrated badly, so after tinkering with it more I assumed it was the way the engine was balanced because at higher RPMs if you put your hand on the valve cover you can feel the engine vibrate but not as much that you can feel it when you are driving. so I'm kinda on checkpoint right now, not sure what to do. Thanks

@@aleki_2.4t61 Check your idle air control valve and try cleaning it, engine coolant tempature sensor and the air meter on the side of the engine. I just bought a 1989 SEI and it had bad vibrations at idle in drive. I'd unplug the IACV to set the base idle and it idles so smooth in drive now. I'm still trying to figure out the real problem on mine and will post a update when I do.
