Back in the day when the Fiesta Bowl was on NBC I knew they would have the best introductions showing the Sunkist Fiesta and FedEx Orange Bowl

I was at this game ! I still have my florida foam hand ! I was 17 , and my friends grandma got him two tickets .

I was there too. 12 years old. I still remember how FSU wouldn't stop scoring. Turns out it was 5 straight TDs unanswered. Brutal.

What went wrong for Nebraska in this game? I say this because their previous Fiesta Bowl in 88was a barnburner that could have gone either way

Bowden had Osborne's number for sure! 6-1 overall 4-0 in bowls including their last and most important 93-94 Orange bowl .

Bowden may had Osborne #, but couldn't do anything against Switzer and Oklahoma. In fact, I don't FSU has beaten the Sooners in the last 41 years. I could be wrong

I'm surprised that the rankings of Nebraska and FSU weren't included in their broadcast before the game was played (or even during it). I thought that was something the TV networks always do. They sure as hell listed them for #1 Colorado & #4 Notre Dame when they talked about their contest in the Orange Bowl. It was like "Fiesta Bowl? Who cares! Let's get this game over with so we can continue hyping the Orange Bowl."

This was the year when Florida State would have almost surely have won the National Championship if there has been a playoff. They started poorly and won out the rest of the way and mostly smashed everyone else along the way.
