Ruben Palomares, A former LAPD officer of the Rampart C.R.A.S.H. unit, turned rogue after several instances in which he felt that the department had turned their back on him. Unknowingly suffering from PTSD and with no where to turn, he and several other officers became the real life version of the movie "Training Day". They beat and robbed gangsters of their money and drugs and lived a life of crime under the cover of the law. Tune in June 22nd to see how the story unfolds!!!

I took a criminal justice class in college taught by a former crash officer. He taught us many different things cops do including how they search etc. I learned a lot from that guy but I was an active addict. I could say that what I learned helped me in my criminal career but after serving 3 state bids and doing time in 5 states out west, down south and here on the east coast...Massachusetts. these videos are helpful to me because sometimes my mindset pulls me back into that CRAZINESS.. this story in particular is helpful as a reference point to go to when I feel like going out and doing something stupid... thank you to everyone involved in making positive changes and helping get the word out there through social media.

Leetwheats Too much corruption in the highest places of authority. For over 12 years now the United States military has been guarding the poppy fields of Afghanistan, guaranteeing the flow of heroin into the world. When corruption exists that high up in power and authority, what are regular people supposed to do. It's sad that people think the Bible is the solution. We choose the good parts and ignore the bad instructions in the book. Read the whole thing! People will say you're lying. The bible doesn't say that. But it does! Too much trust in fellow man and a belief that one group has the right to rules the rest of us. Priests rape children and STILL! The Catholic church and priests are respected.

I ended up pushing him to enroll in college, but I got out before him and thought I would never see him again. If you're out there dealing with the most ruthless gangs day in and day out, then you better be what you have to be. Try bringing that moral high road out there to the streets and see how long you last. That's L.A. inner city culture in the 80's and 90's, especiallyin the Pico-Union district, even normal square civilians were on some gangster shit, we feared the gangs, so we were armed as well, all we were trying to do was not get killed, defend our families, protect our belongings, and be able to go to work everyday, but sometimes gangbangers were too much, you'd have to end up blasting back! I know this is an old upload, but damn! This is an amazing video. I'm an older fatassed white (like the finest toilets!) woman who has been fortunate enough to receive mercy instead of justice in the face of my misdeeds, and I really commend you for the excellent channel! It humanizes the experiences of other's. Excellent videos with amazing stories that have enriched my world.

Ruben Palomares is an interesting man with a harrowing past. I'm glad he made this documentary because a lot of people, current cops, ex-cops, and aspiring cops need to see it. That accumulative PTSD that cops and army soldiers have is some serious business that needs to be addressed, and not treated like some annoying training technique.

Great episode. It illustrates how we can all be a product of our environment, whether it's just growing up in a rough neighborhood, or being subjected to shady dealings within a job setting. All walks of life end up in prison, doctors, lawyers, barbers, firefighters and the police too. It's interesting to see what it was like serving time as an ex-cop. It's the first time I've seen that angle depicted on the show. Nice job with the production. The content was already great, it was just the cherry on top. Keep 'em coming!
