1993 Nissan NX2000 - Episode 5: Installing the New Suspension

In what can only be described as a logical followup act....we are continuing last week's removal of our old handling components with installing new hardware. New coilovers, sway bar, endlinks, outer tie rods, and control arms will return this Nissan NX2000 to its handling prime. #suspension #carrepair #nx2000

Hello, I'm a 1/4 nx2000 owners in Portugal, yes there are only 4 in the country. ( I also have another nx 1.6L) And I just love this serie, it has been almost impossible to find any content about the car. thank you soo much

You’re very welcome. I knew they were pretty rare cars overall, but that’s extremely rare in Portugal. It’s awesome you have two NX.

@@autoobsessivegarage the 1.6L its not running at the moment. but it has an awesome history, it was a real barn find and it was gifted to me, before I bought the gti. hope to put it back on the road after 15 years, this summer. cheers

Where did you get the coilovers from?

I researched the actual part numbers on various sites and ended up ordering them from Amazon. They came highly recommended from a very reliable SR20 enthusiast. So far they’ve been amazing.

Where did you find a new front sway bar?

I actually kept the stock front sway bar and just added fresh end links. I wanted the car to have more neutral handling so I only increased the size of the rear.

@@autoobsessivegarage thanks for the quick reply. I have built an endurance track only car out of an NX2000. Cannot find any thicker front sway bar. I may have to follow your build and upgrade the rear and new endlinks and bushings all the way around. Do you have any companies or websites that may have the suspension parts?

@@guffeymotorsportsracing2891 I'm a fan of Whiteline products, but there are certainly some used front sway bars on eBay from time to time. Honestly, upgrading the rear gave the car a noticeably more neutral handling feel. It's an absolute blast around corners now.
