Never cared for Nancy Kerrigan style. She always seemed wooden. Beautiful spiral but that's about it.

Wasn’t she wonderful! She deserved every win she got. She beat Nancy again with her program in the Rock and Roll the next year with Enigma.

It works musically. You may be just be thinking about the films and how different they are from each other. I know I sort of did this back then. But musically, they work. Brilliant compositions they are.

It was included later on in Ghost. I'm glad you completed schooling, but that factor isn't so needed in a general discussion. Try not giving too much weight, credit and reliance on the system and status quo. They just love that and being handed the power. Haha. Paul Martini, World Champion in Pairs 84 also falls for that approach as well - thinking about the films/play/TV show first rather than the composition and style. It's fine.

@@alexsdb9712 Though I would agree that the status quo often goes against critical thinking and originality on a subject, I would argue that defensively bucking the idea of education as a qualification is just as often a sign of convenient contrarianism. Also, when discussing a particular topic, it is not uncommon for a party to disclose an accreditation in the specific subject so as to signal that they are coming from a place of study.

Based on what? Chen's combination jump was much weaker, and so was the double axel which she entered super slow and cautiously. Chen's spins were by far the poorest of the top 7 as well. Neither program had good artistry. There is no reason at all for Chen to be over Bonaly. Chouinard possibly should have been over Bonaly though.

@@richardross4677 I disagree with the swap with Chouinard and Surya. There was a slight shakeness with Chouinard's Jumps, not a lot of security for her plus Surya had a much more versatile and cleaner program than many of the top women. Spins were difficult, combination was difficult and entries & variations of the single jumps were unique. Third place is exactly where she should be, no lower.

@@dougierichardson484 I would disagree personally because again I felt like Nancy & Surya had more security and versatility in her jumps & it felt much more well established. Artistic Impression possibly better than those two since Josee is very charismatic when she skates "clean" but it's a tight race between many of the women in this short program.

@@TheWayWithKhuwayne Nancy had strong jumps, but that was it. Her spins are always weak, although her layback was ok I guess. Spiral sequence is good too, but her footwork is ridiculously simple, and her music and program was hideous. Have no idea where her reputation as such an artistic skater comes from. On 2nd thought I would have Baiul winning the short (it was ridiculous Kerrigan beat her), Chouinard 2nd, Bonaly 3rd, and Kerrigan 4th. I had Chen lower than 5th too. I admit I am biased though as I hate Nancy with a passion, and always rooted against her, although I grudgingly concede she should have won the 94 Olympics.

Oksana deserved every win. Nancy is so cringey when she tries to dance/skate . Thank goodness the judges saw a beautiful full package in Oksana. The ballerina on ice. Check out her program Enigma. No one and I mean no one could move like her.

5th would be too high. I would have placed Nancy 8th in the short. What a bitch.
