This car's engine is a 1.8l BP, not a 1.6l B6. In some markets the Lantis also came with a 1.6 but this one is a 1.8 :)

Little tip if you want to drive it at night: install an HID kit if the low beams use H1 bulbs, you will see so much better at night, its literally a night and day difference. I did it to mine, before i was scared to drive at night, now i find it fun. They didn't even seem to blind others, after installing the kit i've gotten flashed only once, and that time i actually forgot my high beams on.

This car in Australia is known as a 323 Astina. Ford asisa sold versions of it as Lazer. Both Mazda and Ford versions accepted well and sold in good numbers. JMD also had a V6 2 ltr version.

This was a lunched test model built off of the MX3 proposed 4-door with a Ford influence. Ford was interested in this car for the Australian, UK and Euro market with the Ford Badge but stalled out.... turned out that JDM sales kept it going....but in evolved into a different car. Cool car bro! Nice vid!

Thanks for the great info! We love this car. Whoever gets this has a great daily driver.

I've owned a 94 model and I believe this car has had a serious front collision. The steering wheel doesn't look stock and even the bare bone 94 models back in the day had two front airbags, one in the wheel for the driver and one for the front passenger, where that top glove box exists. And this one even has electric back windows, a rarity.

Very smart looking car. Looks futuristic, even today...

I've never seen one of these before! If I wasn't in love with my Honda beat I'd be in this in a heartbeat

That engine looks familiar enough - from the Protege? Would this be familiar enough to get it serviced at a US Mazda dealer?

Absolutely.

I have one of these, but with the 1.5L engine. Works mostly fine mechanically, but its getting rusty and can't really afford to fix it :/ I guess that's what 274k km does to a car.

No, the mileage does not make a car rust.
@TopiasSalakka3 жыл бұрын
@@thequietkiwi High mileage cars are more likely to have rust though, unless well-kept.

Es un 1.8 (135 cv Japón) (115 cv Europa). No un 1.6
