Barry Foster in 1994 finally got a number two back to complement him in Byron 'Bam' Morris. Man, what a duo they were in '94. Too bad that duo didn't last past '94 though. But if they did last there wouldn't have been no Bus service in Pittsburgh from 1996 to 2005.

Not just the '90s, of ALL Steeler teams since the merger. Only the 2004 Steelers can compete against this team for that "title." This team was LOADED. My God, where was the weakness??? Note that the '94 AFCC game remains the biggest JOKE game of all time. No loss I've ever lived through was more painful than that JOKE of a game.

It was the typical Cowher clam-up in the playoffs. He finally figured out after 13 seasons that you need to play to win in the postseason and he got his super bowl.

As stated above, that loss remains the biggest JOKE game of ALL time (well, at least since the merger in '70). Never have I seen a game where the LOSING team has nearly 2x the (1) total yards and (2) time of possession, as well as (3) even (or better) in turnovers. IT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN. That f-ing game..... The Super Bowl would have been SWEET with the 49ers. Not sure the Steelers pull that out, but it sure as hell wouldn't have been the BLOWOUT it was with the INFERIOR Chargers bumbling their way into it....

@@lunaticfringe896 Man, shut you bitter a** up. B******g like a little girl over a 27-year-old game. Seek help. Made two comments on this page that made no sense. Even great or loaded teams can get beat. Inferior Chargers? That was a good 1994 Chargers squad that ran into a runaway freight train and a team of destiny in the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX. That inferior Chargers team beat the Steelers on the road and in an AFC Championship game atmosphere. Get over it. Those inferior Chargers shut down your running game, held Neil O'Donnell to just one TD pass in the first quarter, played good defense, and made the timely plays on offense to pull out this win including that Tony Martin 43-yard TD catch. And for the record, your Steelers would have gotten their asses kicked In Super Bowl XXIX, maybe not 49-26, but NOBODY was stopping the 1994 Niners.

San Diego Chargers: because of good defense and some timely big plays by the offense, and a game-saving goal line PBU by CLB Dennis Gibson, one of the better teams in Bill Cowher's head coaching career (the 1994 Pittsburgh Steelers) was denied a spot In Super Bowl XXIX.

The Steelers did reach the Super Bowl in 1996 (1995 season) lost to Dallas. I'm a Steelers fan through & through but it should have been the Colts. I'm not sure which receiver it was but he was a little out of bounds & the refs called it a touchdown.
